I personally figure that some Edo's were likely present...however think of this.
Compared to the other divisions...they went through probably the most gruelling fight.
1. 100% CQB....there was a filler episode (I think the Hinata eyes one) but it showed a couple seconds of just brutal fighting....they had two days of that.
2. That CQB with disguised Zetsu
3. Each Zetsu has at least average Jounin strength plus a little more with shifting bodies
4. Probably some off screen Edo Tensei summons.
Would have been epic if a powerful Hyuga and maybee Kakuzu had been summond there....beating either in CQB is an accomplishment.
Also, compared to them, everyone else simply had to deal with mostly Edos and a light Zetsu infantry.
