true with Nagatos reserves he could have easily developed some crazy attacks by over lapping the different natures... instead he relied on the paths.

Much more powerful as stated before with his Uzumaki background he shared great feats like Hashi. lots of chakra, not to mention he is a sensor, long life, and clearly the most elite weapon in the manga he had the Rinnegan. He was basicly Naruto and Sasuke fused. An uzumaki with dojutsu. I think kishi underrates alot of his characters. Like how he hyped itachis feats then throws in some sort of illness. Kakashi was everyones favorite until his Chakra was shown to be at genin and chunin level. and lastly Nagato in a damn Wheel chair. haha theres my rant for the day lol. maybe i should make a thread about this :]

Other than Shinra Tensei, Chibaku Tensei and Bansho Ten'nin, everything that the Rin'negan can do is underrated - the point you noted but I will also say the Six Paths Technique.
