Most relevant and developed characters

So these are the characters who I think gave story a new direction or at least were responsible for why things were happening. They are :-

1) Naruto :- Child of prophecy, took on the responsibility to finish what no one could, had the dream of becoming Hokage, did it against all odds, brought a friend back to village, ended the cycle of hate
2) Sasuke :- To bring him back is the Main character's primary goal. Thus he impacts the story in a big way
3) Obito :- Although people will argue, he was doing everything as per Madara's plan , I believe he did not. Started a war, captured all the beasts, manipulated Itachi and Nagato. Passes on his dream to Naruto, like many others
4) Kakashi :- Tries to guide all his students down the right path (all MCs). Affects Obito (who in turn affects the story in a big way).
5) Madara :- Background plot. All through the series, his plan is taking shape. Unites two MC to fight against him , we actually see the difference between Senju and Uchiha, when his character is introduced. Adds depth
6) Jiraya:- Teaches the MC multiple things. But most importantly transfers his mission to the MC. The whole underlying theme of the series is transferred by him to Naruto
7) Itachi :- Shapes Sasuke, who in turn shapes Naruto. Intent to kill him drives Sasuke in Part 1 and revenge drives him in Part 2
8) Tobirama:- Kills Izuna , makes Madara = mad man Madara, invents Edo Tensei, which drives the war
9) Danzo :- Orders the Uchiha massacre, opens the floodgates to doomsday. His death also affects Naruto and Sasuke
Honourable mentions :- Minato, Hashirama, Iruka and Nagato

EDIT: Minato, honorable mention? Lmao, he was the second child, Nagato was only considered the first because he had the rinnegan. Plus he's naruto's dad which could also be in control of the fox .. way faster than naruto did.

Nagato has earned a place in honourable mentions. About Oro I have doubts but he was somewhat impactful. Kabuto was a developed character , but his story doesn't affect the main storyline that much

That is where you are wrong bruh. He is not Ashura or Hashirama or Nagato or Obito. They all wanted peace, but failed. Naruto brings the long lost peace that everyone craves, that is the essence of the story, Jiraya's mission

Orochimaru made Sasuke join the dark side. He was the the major antagonist of part one, and early parts of part 2. Kabuto revived Itachi which brought closure to sasuke, he helped out in the war and achieved sage mode, and finally kabuto revived the greatest threat in the entire series uchiha Madara. Kabuto had a huge impact in the story

Doesn't mean Naruto isn't the most important. Personally, I feel that any character that serves as a manga's moral compass who tries to convert villains is a boring one, but that is just my opinion. U still can't deny that Naruto is the most important of the series, hence most relevant, and MC= most development.

You don't seem to understand bruh. True Oro was the main villain in Part -1, but when I see the Manga's main story, I see his contribution in shaping Sasuke physically (not mentally even , that Itachi does). So yes his character was awesome , but it doesn't add too much in the whole scheme of things. Kabuto's feat is just that : a feat. His actual STORY does not affect the story. See on the list I have mentioned Tobirama above Hashirama. Its because Tobirama had more importance in Madara's character shaping than Hashirama did

No 1 is the most important. I have my doubts with placement of 4,6,7 and 9

Made him who he is today ? Naruto got pretty far, from being a loser to setting a goal to helping a friend , no thanks to Minato.

Minato helped him during Nagato fight and offered some valuable insight. Also he put his faith in Naruto. That is his contribution to the development of main storyline
