Kaguya would have dodged the combo Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi executed had it not been for Sakura. That was their only shot at it, and to say they could have pulled something else off is baseless and highly likely to be wrong, given that they put their eggs into that basket.

Without Sakura, Naruto would have died when Kurama was extracted.
