Being a true ninja requires being proficient with weapons to assassinate your enemies. Not saying Lee wouldn't be a good real life ninja because being skilled in empty handed combat is important too, but just pointing out real ninjas use katanas, shurikens, and whatever else they can use to kill quickly. All of team Gai are my favorite realistic ninjas. Even Neji if you ignore byakugan and kaiten, gentle fist is similar to tiger style kung fu and in real life you would aim for pressure points and vital areas.
