think about it ,shikamaru and neji stand out , and sakura might ,
if sakura uses raiton or futon chakra enhanced punches in the future , her punches will have a blast radius of like 100m x 100m
neji with a chakra nature would be deadly , also i think there might be a byakugan based genjutsu which would make neji low kage level
and shikamaru still has a slew of jutsu to learn , if he soon learns earth and improves taijutsu not only will he be able to bend the battle field to his will , making his shadow have an almost unlimited range but also would be very hard to get close to
these are only ifs and buts ,
so in your opinion specifically which other shinobi has great potential?

Well i guess Shikamaru, because he already is the best in one direction, he is one of the Smartest characters ever, so he would only need to work on improving his jutsu and gain more power. I mean he already is the best at one thing just needs to work a little on strength.

But just as you said everything is just "ifs" and "maybe" it all depends on what Kishi wants to happen, that is why i said they all have equal potential... if they improve like you stated then it would really be great, for all of them... it's not like any of them has reached his limit... and there is nowhere for him/her to evolve... They can all learn new stuff, develop new jutsu and gain new abilities.

Definitely Neji, Konohamaru and Shikamaru. Lee has some serious taijutsu potential as well. Contrary to popular belief, Sakura has great potential as well... if only Kishi knew how to write decent female characters >.>

The only females that don't suck are Konan and Kushina. The rest are basically all stereotypes of some sort and boring.

Sakura really does have awesome potential, but I doubt Kishimoto will ever let her live up to it. She's intelligent, has nigh perfect chakra manipulation, and is very brave. But he doesn't give a damn, and leaves her as the damsel in distress character, whose only motivation comes from a man - just like Hinata, Ino and the rest.

It's not really their fault - a story and a character doesn't write itself - but Kishimoto who seems to think most women/girls possess so little logic it's borderline retarded, and only goals in life are men.

hinata and neji are the only ones i see taking him out one on one oh and lee lol
