About drowning, it actually IS very calm. It's basically the same as getting choked out. The reason behind eyes bulging, etc. is because at low depths. If you drown in like a lake, it's relaxing. I was choked out once by this guy fooling around. After everything goes black (well, for me, blue), your mouth feels like cotton and you kinda just drift off. I felt like I was sleeping in a cozy bed, and, true story, I heard the song Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles. When they woke me up, I didn't even recall blacking out and asked why they were in my room. It felt really good...

I know that. I said drowning is similar to suffocating. That was just my experience with choking out, which was very peaceful. If I died right there, I wouldn't even have cared.

When you inhale your water, you're just choking. After several seconds, you'll black out and drift into peaceful slumber. In which you die. Peacefully.

I don't believe any of the deaths on 1000 ways to die are real, but what about that one where the guy was escaping prison through a small sewage tunnel (I think) that he had to crawl through and the rats like, ate through his eyes and into his brain and he was conscious the whole time.
