How can Naruto be overrated when the series is based on him?

Overrated: Sasuke, Itachi, and Obito
Underrated: Rock Lee and Hinata

People still say things like Naruto>Edo Madara, that, is overrating him.

overrated: zabuza. the techniques he used were standard jonin stuff at the moment in the series.
kakashi(i love this guy but, he is not really that powerful and all his awesome techniques are like one use per day. he literally has no chakra. this guy almost became the sixth hokage. bear that in mind he is said to be as smart as shikamaru. we ve seen no proof. and he is also used in a sentence to compliment non orochimaru kabuto-who was known for his medical ninjusu for attacks. after all the monsters we have seen he seems really weak(even comparing to gai after his third fight with kisame)

i am literally scared to death for kakashi right now. because obito and madara is godlike copared to him. he already died once.

also kankuro: i have no idea how this guy became a jonin. yes the puppets are useful but he literally has too little to none defense.
underrated: sakura(she literally can kill a guy with one punch dude)
konan: she was nearly invincible. cant be killed, huge chakra, superior attacking. she almost took down obito, also she did all that moses stuff. im still in shock over her death. it was stubborn fr her to die. she could ve easily flee the battleground.
jiraiya: same as konan died out of stubborness. could ve easily figured out nagato's trick. instead chose to return to battle, lost arm, crushed throat, crushed my heart.

also overrated sasuke. the reason is this: itachi lived years with his mangekyo without going blind. this idiot nearly got blind after what two weeks with mangekyo?

also dont forget that bee almost killed him twice. his ass got saved by karin and that big curse mark guy.

also sai. i mean first introduction was like too exagarated. he was supposed to be one of the most powerful in the foundation. turns out lame ass drawings tht can easily be broken.

Most overrated:
1.itachi..I know hes top ten but people put him above hashi and naruto..

2.minato..his power lays in his speed.he lacks the offensive jutsu to break sussano or gaaras ultimate defence..trying telling that to his unrelenting fanboys

3.tobirama..Apparently being a bad ass puts you in the top ten

Most underrated:
1.6pop(not nagato)..Im not trying to start a fanwar but naruto had sooo many advantages in that fight.I don't personally think that fight equates to sage mode > rinnegan..ill leave it at that

3.sasuke..the mangekyo in general is underated really.kishi said naruto and sasuke are never far from each other power wise..but that doesn't stop close minding individuals from making "kakashi stomps EMS sasuke"..smh

Underated: Tobirama (people say he is not as strong as Minato.) Zabuza, Hiruzen, Jiraiya.

How can Naruto be overrated when the series is based on him?

I take it you don't know what it means to overate something. It means to regard someone as better or more capable than they actually are. As soon as he gets a powerup, people regard him as a god. He become overrated the moment people thought he could solo Madara and Hashirama. YES, people actually believe than he can one shot Madara and Hashirama. Not to say he won't be on par with them eventually, but not now.

And may I ask how Sasuke, Itachi and Obito or overrated? Then again this is an exercise in futility. It all comes down to which Characters you like and which characters you hate.
