Not to disagree but if minato wasn't allowed to teleport away (pretty big restriction) then he wouldn't win because his arsenal can't hurt itachi as long as susanoo is up but in a battle he could easily outlast him

LOL! i sware I want to ***** slap every person who says that BS. spare me the petty excuses. hiruzen and kohona dealt with kurama more than long enough for minato to dispatch his nerfed student. you bring up how life works, well let me give you some pointers then. even kids know without even reading the manga that an elite is suppose to kill the terrorist threat in their village/country etc. the fact that minato failed to do so as the leader is clearly obvious that he could not. maybe it's you who needs to be re-reading the manga broski

Kishi was froced to give him KCM mode because he realized that Minata become a fodder Kage after Hashirama and Nidaime introduction.

And by overhype, I mean undelivered hype. Madara, for example, while very much hyped before his first appearance, that very first appearance involved him introducing a whole new tier of strength in the series, so I at least don't think he would fit the bill. For me though, it would be either Itachi or Hiruzen. You?

Exactly this, and on the other hand Kishi had to nerf Itachi by making him sick and dying then nerfed Hiruzen by reviving him as an old man instead of his prime

Hiruzen (though he was only hyped in part 1), I think alive minato is quite hyped, raikage thinking their won't be a stronger character than him (when he witnessed his dad in action) I till this day don't know how minato beats ay even though ay admitted inferiority, and all the many hypes he's gotten

It pains me to admit (because he is my favorite character), Minato. He was hyped to be the best shinobi that ever existed but apparently Rasengan is a high-average type jutsu that most decent shinobi can do, teleportation was invented by the second hokage, he was terrible at sage jutsu, his chakra limit is not that high.

Others are Sasori (to be fair he was epic but he died quick so that was still a disappointment caused by hype)
