Opinions, ignorance is bliss.

I don't understand what "ignorance is bliss" has to do with anything. Are you just dismissing what I say because it's "opinionated" or because you're ignorant about music from more than 15 years ago?

My last point is pretty much 100% true. You look at the talent in bands like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, The Beatles, et cetera, and then try to tell me that there are bands/artists like that today. No. There isn't. Music has gone downhill in the last 20 years.

Is he wrong?
To say you are humble is immediately the opposite of being humble. Especially when you say Humbly, I am the most...

It just makes you look like a douche or an idiot.

To be honest, I feel sorry for him. I don't know why, but if he says something embarrassing in an interview, I'd be thinking "No, Kanye, why?" almost like a second hand embarrassment.

He brings it on himself, I mean, he isn't even that big a star, there are musicians more talented, more famous and more successful than him by a long shot. he just thinks he is a big star and he does this all to himself. I mean who behaves the way he does, not even other celebs, its the child I pity, imagine have a mother and father like those two.

Dude you're acting like an idiot. Re-read the OP. He flat out says this is his opinion. If you don't agree list who you think is more influential and keep it moving? Actin' like a hoe caught up on dudes words. Lml...

I agree on the talent part. If the OP named it "most influential for this generation" I think he would be right.

But I think you've made it clear many times you don't like rap so it's not fair to judge an artist of a genre you really dislike. Also, we just have to accept that rap/hip hop is big now.

He can be a douche and an idiot and still be influential. You're letting your personal feelings about him get in the way of his accomplishments.

He is a total idiot that no one takes seriously

I agree but the guy is a tool. I watched some interviews with him and he acted like it was the end of the world because Nike didn't do something for the Yeezies (I forgot what, exactly). One guy asked him why he became such a tool and then he starts talking about his shoes, smh...

I like his music though.

Well, yeah, if you're passionate about doing something and you're doing well at it, then people stifle you, you're gonna get pissed off. Add in the fact that is contributing to his livelihood, and it makes far more sense as to why he's pissed off.

Most of the people who criticize Kanye seem to lack the mindset of creators themselves. Someone pointed that out once on YouTube, and I realized it makes a lot of sense.

People say the man has a huge ego and is so full of himself. Well, yeah. Look at what he's accomplished for himself. It's funny how people will go ¨Man, Kanye is this and that¨, but some of the most respected artists in the music industry support and respect him. Some of the best artists in the music industry has wanted his production and rapping abilities in their music, often both.

Shit, look at Eminem. He's regarded as one of the greatest lyricists of all time, one of the greatest rappers of all time. His highest album got an approval rate in the 70s. Kanye's is in the 90s. You bet your ass that he's gonna reason that he's one of the best.

Kanye is living proof that people will support and respect someone rising up from nothing and chasing their dreams, urging them to get to a pedestal, and then proceed to hate them when they make it to the pedestal and go ¨Yup, I done pretty good for myself.¨

But I could list so many bands that listing them all would take quite awhile. It's much easier to say, "Most major bands from the 60s-80s were/are more influential (and more talented) that Yeezus." But to say something like that is to be idiotic. My b.

That's fair. I don't like rap, but that's because I don't think it's very good. That, OP, is an opinion.

I can read just fine. Thank you very much.

I think that people nowadays think that everything is opinionated and that there can't be any objectivity in anything. That's BS. Not everything is an opinion. Sure, there are biases in just about everything, but that doesn't make objectivity impossible. U_U

He doesn't influence crap, at least not in a positive way. Maybe he influences other songs of the shitty genre of rap. But rap is the shitstains of the music industry. Heck its the thickest part of the pure diarrhea thats exploding out of the modern mainstream music industry.

Maybe not instrumental talent or pure vocal ability, but to say there isn't talent like that? Absolutely incorrect. There are people like Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Eminem, Logic, Earl Sweatshirt, and Tyler, the Creator(believe it or not) who have artistic, lyrical and poetic talent in their lyrics that can easily match the talent the people you listed have in sonical talent. Music has not gone downhill in the last 20 years, it's just changed from the style of music you like.

What you're saying about current music, people have said it about the generation of music Queen, Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, etc. What you're saying about Aeorosmith and Queen and the Beatles, someone is gonna say about this same generation of music you say is a decline years after you're gone.
