Correct me. Cause he hyperventilated over Sasuke & definitely chased after him for 3-4 years.
Very well. If you can though, try understanding this without any bias.
Statement 1. Hyperventilated over Sasuke.
He hyperventilated over the idea of Sakura a member of team 7 killing Sasuke(also a member of team 7). Especially knowing how she feels about him. To Naruto it was just unthinkable.
Statement 2. Chased after him for 3-4 years.
Define Chase? Because the only times I remember him actually chasing/going after Sasuke was around the end of part 1, when he went to Oro's hideout in the beginning of part 2, and finally before the Sasuke vs Itachi fight.
He also made a promise to Sakura to bring him back, and if you remember; his Ninja way is that he never goes back on his word. So it was a promise he had to absolutely fulfill. He also mentioned that, how could he be Hokage if he couldn't even save his friend. In turn, that was one of Naruto's goals next to being Hokage.
At the end of the day, you can have your opinion on what you think he did, instead of looking at the bigger picture.
