More to the younger son and elder son conflict?

I don't buy that the elder son just feuded with the younger son just because he wasn't chosen as the successor. I feel as if there is more to it, but either Madara left a few things out of the story when he told Obito, Obito left a few things out of the story when he was telling Sasuke, or the Sage felt guilty about something and hid the information, which is why the information Madara gathered is inaccurate.

Maybe the people around at the time discriminated against the elder son for some reason? Or the younger son did something that severely angered or traumatised the elder son.

Obito never told the full story to Itachi.
Obito never told the full story to Sasuke.
Madara never told the full story to Obito.

Well if the Uchiha syndrome stems from the elder it isn't too far fetched. Plus the idea of losing your father and him then skipping you over to a younger brother of yours is kind of hurtful.

Add in their different views, and it makes a bit of sense. Though I'd venture there was probably some trigger mechanism.
