While this is true for a FEW [and I mean a few] aspects, this series isn't Hunter X Hunter. More times then not, the person with the more raw power and bigger explosion is going to win.

For example, there's a reason why the majority think Naruto is far above Sasuke despite his seemingly haxed power and that's because Naruto has far more destructive power, he creates bigger explosions b00000m and that's what it comes down to in this series.

What Zetsu meant is: if you can't use your powers smartly, someone with smaller powers and a mind can outsmart you, which isn't precise in this case. Go check the databooks if you still don't obtain a conclusion you're clearly hating Itachi despite all he did.

Except when Nagato attempted to overpower Itachi, Naruto, and bee with overwhelming power but was defeated with a simpler power. It's not really the size of power that is the absolute determine factor of a battle rather than the application of power.
