More flashbacks from Kishi, no doubt.

Kishi is going to pull a lot more flashbacks about after Guy's death, and Kishi will probably end up writing like Hashirama's and Madara's story with 3 chapters. It was worth reading, however I don't want to see Kishi waste another 2 or 3 chapters about Guy or even about his mother.
Next chapter this week will of course bring up Guy vs Rikudo Madara and after that Kishi like to add more flashbacks.

Any thoughts?

You don't say, and especially about his past with his father... I didn't actually wanted to read it and jumped over to where the pages shown Guy releasing the 8th Gate Open, but after 2 pages, the chapter was done, imo.

I did read Guy's past about his father, however as I mentioned.... I think a lot of people here want Kishi to continue his writing, not add more flashbacks.

Well the flashbacks will happen mid fight in my opinion. We will see Evening Elephant then before it hits Madara or gets avoided we will go into another flashback that will take up most of the chapter. Next chapter Madara will counter attack and then another flash back that will take up most of the chapter will encur again.

Rinse repeat for about 2 or 3 chapters then Gai will die.

Sad but true....just seems kinda like lazy creative writting to me, but it's not my story so whatever works I guess.

I don't hate flashbacks at all. In fact, I like em. They help make the story and break up what would be only action, action action. I enjoyed seeing Gai's dad and how he got where he is today because of him.

But in general they have their time and place, and right in the middle of a huge fight is neither of those. If it was just a chapter of talking or whatever, that's a perfect place to learn something. Like when Gai was talking to Lee about how he's going to be a splendid ninja with just Taijutsu alone, that would have been a good time to introduced his dad. Then when fighting Kisame when he used the 7 gates, that would have been a perfect time to have shown the flashback of his dad saving him from the Seven Swordsmen.

It somewhat works now since he's being heroic and using the 8 gates, but maybe saved them for when he died. I dunno, it's tough to say because sometimes they work perfect in the story, and sometimes they're just annoying and out of place.
