Hm... Well this is not gonna be easy.

I would myself say yes it is morally wrong, even if your saving many lives.
Because every life each and every one of them weather it be good or bad has been born into this world not by our hands so who are we to take it away? I don't know how to explain it because I'm not very good at such things, but I will say this.

Even if it is morally wrong to me, I would still have that person sacrificed. Life is a very precious thing and without it we would all die. So why should just one person destroy the many lives of others? Why should that one keep living at the cost of others. Why?
I say no, the guilt of taking a life would be heavy for me, but in order to save more than one person..Then so be it..

I don't know if this makes any sense...But asking if it is Morally Wrong, well that question as you know will get a lot of different opinions. Especially on what the word Moral means to each individual. And because of this more than likely, I think some (or a lot ) of people will state what they think is right instead of what is Morally right..
I hope this makes sense..I can never explain anything right, but I tried my best.

But sometimes it makes you wonder, Does sacrificing one person really guarantees the safety of the rest?

No, it is not morally wrong to sacrifice the life of one to save many IMHO. Is this to do with Utilitarianism?

Your right...And I bet it does not...But I still wanna kill that person. I wanna kill that person dead. Drain the blood from that persons body and see what the insides looks like. And it's all because...Of curiosity...It might have killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

all lives are equal in my opinion, one or many, you have no right to sacrifice others, but you're own life, i guess the decision to sacrifice you're life for the sake of many is what makes you different from the rest.

Well since i forgot to include my answer ill say it here, I believe that it is wrong and should never be done, who are you to take the life of an idividual for your sake, also there is no guarantee you will live if you sacrifice someone for your safety, your conciousness will always hold you back to this event to which you took the life of another individual. and so on ~

When you bring in morals, almost everything is wrong.
If you're ever faced with that kind of situation it is better to be practical.

Everyone dies eventually anyways.

Only reason I smoke the greenery.

With this you make it sound as if one would be sacrificed for one other person.

And it all depends on the situation really, who is the candidate to be sacrificed, who are the people one would be sacrificed for.

One question.

And are the people you are saving worth it?

It depends. I would definitely kill a bad person to save good people. Never the other way around though.

Never? o.o look at this situation

There's a great good person blablabla, however you have never met him and he lives like in a country far away. However, in order to save a dozen people close to you you'll have to sacrifice that specific good person whom you have never met but you do know he's good.

What do you do .-.

EDIT: Didn't pay attention to everything you said xd

Meh, for me if it was something like sacrifice my GF or let X amount of people die X amount of people are going to die. On the other hand if i was to be sacrificed for many ( Better be a good reason -_- ) I'd do it. Your question in itself is a conundrum, since everyones morals are different, and it depends on how many, or who they are that the sacrificed is being sacrificed for. In all honesty because of my morals i'd rather let a million good natured helpful people die than those i love.

Depends what the situation is. I don't think it's wrong to sacrifice one for all. On Fallout 3's ending, you have the chance to give up your life to save all. Sure, some people are bad, but some are good. Can't let the good go down with the bad. Then one could argue, the good would just be better off. This could be a long/lengthy debate, but my answer is it's not wrong if the person is sacrificed wants to be sacrificed for the general greater good. Remember, forcing someone to do it is not the same as a true sacrifice.
