It's good to see some people with a healthy state of mind.
Morality is what distinguishes us as humans, it is synonymous with humanity. Disregarding morals makes us far worse than animals, whom have no morals but still act on their instinct which only tells them to survive, causing no further harm to anyone or anything.
A few months ago I got in a heated discussion with one of the professors in University. She believed that there is no "right or wrong", she believed in complete "freedom of action" no matter how horrid it is. As long as the doer is prepared to deal with the consequences in what ever way, he/she is free to do whatever they want and shouldn't be judged by anyone.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, surely this is a mentality that breeds psychopaths and murderers and is reason for many of the world's disorder and yet there I was speaking to a free "intelligent" professor who deals with many students at an esteemed University, needing to defend against this idea. The discussion continued for longer than necessary and this was one of the examples brought up. I asked her if a robber broke into her house, took many of her belongings and killed her husband before fleeing, would he not be wrong for doing so? She said she would call the police, but if the culprit manages to get away with it then it's fine, she would not hold any resentment, and he wouldn't be wrong for doing so because 'who knows what he's been through and this world is all about "survival" and "caring for one's own regard"'.
It is pretty disgusting, but unfortunately more people are adopting this mentality due to propaganda in it's many forms. It is a fallacious way of justifying crime or any inhumane act.
About life, it's a general quote, the "unfair world" the person is referring to is the world we live in today.
Yesterday two innocent journalists were shot and killed by a man without morals. Apply the quote and the answer to my question should be straightforward.
