Monster

Hey Guys!
I've just recently watched Naoki Urasawa's "Monster". And it's pretty awesome.
The ending, I was pleased with. For some reason i wouldn't believe it if Nina or Tenma shot Johan.
I know a lot of fans expected a different ending so I want to hear your thoughts about the ending of Monster. :wut:

I thought the ending was fine, personally. Just enough room for speculation and theories! If you read his other series, this ending is actually one of the "safer" ones. Just in general, Monster is more of a complete story than 20th Century Boys or Billy Bat. I suppose I could read the novel that goes along with the Monster series, but I don't think it would be as enticing at the actual manga/anime.

Well I think that Tenma was hallucinating when he saw Johan talking to him and maybe he was thinking what Johan could say something to him if he was awake. Johan knows what his mother did and when he wakes up from the coma he escapes from the hospital.

It seems Tenma thought he did, but Johan could use telepathy, didn't he? I probably reread it, though. I don't remember fine details since I read it a long time back. He is one messed up kid though if he went after his mother now, it would also mean Tenma failed at some level.
