As the Koumei presses forward to the next part of training, Ryuu witnesses Vinea's transformation as a trident with 3 pointed tips, which he noticed is a contrast to Enma's form as a blunted staff. Pondering on Vinea's form, Ryuu was brought back to focus as Enma voice echoed from the staff in his hands, noticing a single eye manifested from the end. "Greenhorn, don't get carried away now. This is time to prove yourself, stay vigilant." "Understood, please watch over me."Readying himself, Ryuu puts his right leg behind his left, rests his right palm on one end of the staff and his left hand supports holding the middle.

Gazing upon his at his mentor, Ryuu watched as his expression turn and his body stance changed aggressively. As Koumei howled his battle cry, lunging forward with his trident, Ryuu instinctively hits the side of the trident with the opposite end of the staff, from his left to right whilst pivoting his body sideways. This would force the trident push away from Ryuu, causing it miss passing by his right, effectively parrying it. Simultaneously, the end of the staff would point towards Koumei which prompts Enma to extend his length, launching the blunt tip of the weapon straight towards Koumei's left shoulder. While the impact wouldn't cause any fatal injures, the force could easily dislocate his shoulder.

In the moment his student parried his thrust, Vinea's left hand swiftly emerged from the trident and slammed the opposing weapon downwards. The sole purpose of Vinea's emerging limb was to push the opposing weapon down as Ryuu attempted to counterattack, which wouldn't be particularly hard given her own strength. At the same time that Vinea pushes the staff down with her left hand, she also allows her right arm and hand to emerge, and extend far enough to grab Ryuu by his exposed throat. "A decent attempt on your part", were the first words Koumei spoke, as Vinea proceeded to release Ryuu from her iron-like grip and let him catch his breath. "Honestly, even I find it hard to keep up with the complex nature of these adamantine weapons at times. You've done well, Ryuu-kun, and now there's only one more technique left to learn. Enma! Trap Ryuu for a moment!" In compliance with Koumei's order, Enma once again disappeared in a puff of smoke, as the adamantine staff was cloned several times, and assembled to form a 'box' of sorts. "Go ahead and tell me if there are any other uses for this particular technique, other than to restrain someone. Also, what could some of its weaknesses be? Take your time, and gather your thoughts."

While parrying Koumei's attack, Ryuu takes notice of Vinea's left arm pushing his staff down as a defensive measure while simultaneously he could suddenly feel a tight grip around his neck, realising Vinea's other arm had emerged from another part of the trident. Tensing up his muscles around his neck, Vinea's grip loosen as Koumei commends his efforts, allowing Ryuu to gasp for air once more. Now that air has returned to his lungs once for, his mentor declared the last technique for demonstration. On Koumei's command, Enma yet again disappears but this time the staff's duplicates itself dozens of times arranging themselves like a cube formation, trapping Ryuu at the center. The monkey mentor then questions Ryuu on the uses and weakness of the technique, which Ryuu momentarily answers: "Well, the indestructibility of the staffs can serve as a great defense that covers all around, as well as using this formation to smash down upon my opponents when Enma is in the air. As far as weakness go the prison isn't air tight, gaps in between the staff allows fluid elements like Fire, Water and Wind pass right through."

"Yes, I'd say you covered pretty much everything regarding the technique. Oh? Would you look at that, this is great timing since the sun is starting to set!" With an overly dramatic flourish of the bisentō he still held in his right hand, he proceeded to promptly slam it into the ground, points-first. "Please,take your leave now, Vinea. Splendid effort, as always." Before disappearing without leaving a trace, Vinea smiled as she said: "Well, it was nice change of pace and scenery!" With his partner gone, Koumei returned his attention to his student. "You're free to send Enma-san on his way too. Also, you must be a bit peckish, no? Since I've already got supplies, I'll go ahead and cook us up something for supper. After we're done eating, you're free to spend the evening as you want. Be ready for an early morning!"

As Koumei concluded the training session, they had already realize the sun had started to set. Watching as his mentor sending Vinea off in a puff of smoke, he suggest Ryuu send Enma off his way as well, turning towards the adamantine staff in his hands. "Thank you for hard work, Enma, it was nice to finally meet you." "I guess you're not too shabby Greenhorn, I'll be seeing you." In a puff of smoke he goes, Ryuu attention returns to Koumei as he kindly offers supper for the evening. "Thank you, I shall humbly accept your hospitality." Ryuu lowers his head with his 2 hands clutched together as a gesture of gratitude.

Okay, let's start with turn limitations. Whilst there is no turn limit explicitly stated for Enma, which means his presence is indefinite, the same is not applicable to custom summonings of the same rank (or even lower). Recall my Vinea summoning, and you'll note her standard form is restricted to just 4 turns. Moreover, this is the general rule of thumb for custom summonings, and you can see it present with the elemental toads that were donated to the canon list [

]. Now, low-level custom summonings could potentially remain on the field longer, if not indefinitely. Overall, for the higher ranked summonings (B/A/S), the standard duration parameter would be between three and six turns, with three turns perhaps allowing the summoning to be called forth twice, instead of just once per given battle.

Since we're delving into information regarding ranks, you should know that the only prohibited rank for a custom summoning is F-Rank (forbidden). Members have submitted creatures of many contracts from D to S-rank, and such decisions are entirely at your discretion. Keep in mind, though, that a summoning's abilities should have a comparable rank to their summoning rank. Now, any questions regarding the ranks or summoning durations?

Yes, both my Amon and Vinea summonings have that note included in their transformation techniques.
Of course, it is only applicable to full turns they spend in their unique adamantine weapon forms.

Moving beyond the guideline, I want to mention a bit more about certain things. Something to keep in mind with creating customs, at least for names and the like, is potentially having a 'theme' of sorts. For example, all the monkeys I will submit, will be named after Djinn, based on the types of magic they utilize in Magi. Another good example would be MU's ligers, which revolve around the theme of 'Greek heroes'. Of course, themes can also extend to the abilities of each of the animals, again, that'll be up to you to decide. Also, really important is choosing everything wisely! Canon contracts may have only 5 animals approved per member! Moreover, the accompanying techniques to any of them will count towards the allotted 35 CJ most members are allowed to submit over their RP career.

Without proper training in a given field, you may not submit customs related to the particular area.

After a peaceful evening of undisturbed sleep, Koumei awoke just as dawn began. Recalling that his student was also probably sleeping nearby, he bellowed: "Oi, Ryuu-kun, wake up!" As his student came to meet him, Koumei bowed before him. "Today, you are officially recognized as a true signer of the Monkey Contract, which few can stake a claim on. Use it well, and never forget who you can count on! Now, I must bid you ado! Safe travels, my graduated pupil!"
