The sun beginning to rise with a cool breeze blowing across the land. A thin lay of mist dissipating as the suns rays pierce though, gently reflecting off the morning dew. "oh, it's going to be a beautiful day." Hei thinks to himself as he stretches out wide, just awaking from a good nights rest. Hei then begins making his way though the lush vegetation of the mountain side. Leaping from tree branch to tree branch, Hei suddenly grasps a branch as he lands upon it. Shifting his momentum, Hei twists around it and falls down to the ground. Sliding across it's surface Hei finds himself in a grove surrounded by forest and large statures of Monkey's and Ape's hardly reconcilable from the moss growth that has taken over them. "This must be the place.. It's lovely." Hei thinks to himself as he begins scratching the back of his head, leaning against a tree.

Unbeknownst to the man, whom seemed to be somewhere in between his late twenties and early thirties, he was by no means alone. Indeed, from a nearby puddle a new figure silently emerged, and revealed itself to be a man of tall stature. Amidst a cursory inspection of the stranger dressed in Kumogakure garb , he called out: "You think so? This setting is rather tranquil.." Slowly, Koumei moved closer and closer to the other man. "I doubt it's a coincidence, but I do feel obligated to confirm, are you my new pupil, Uzumaki-kun? I received a message not too long ago; it requested my mentorship regarding the Monkey Contract. If you're indeed him, we can dive right into the training session!"

Hei catches slight movement from the corner of his eye, slightly shifting his gaze for a clear view Hei see's as a man manifests from a puddle on the ground near by. Hei then leaps up in comedic fear as he waves his arms in defense. "Ahh, don't eat me!" Hei yells out as he covers his face with both hands, crouching into a fetal position. After a few moments Hei widens his fingers to peak though. Looking at the man whom he notices to be Koumei, the shinobi in whom Hei had contacted. Hei then leaps up on both feet and begins scratching his head while revealing a large smile on his face. "Oh man, you really gave me a scare.. " Hei then watches as the man takes a few steps closer. "You no, there is no need to be so formal, you can just call me Hei."

Responding to Hei-kun's theatrics, Koumei sighed and said: "When you act like that, I feel more inclined to kill you than to teach you. " His face now expressionless, he looked intently upon the young man before him; the man whom would likely become the newest addition to his student roster. "So, I am the one and only Monkey Shishou, and I do have the capacity to teach you, but first, I have a few inquires that necessitate both honesty and bluntness on your part. First, what does a summoning mean to you, in your own words? Second, I want to know why, in particular, you seek the Monkey Contract, over other contracts (canon and custom). Lastly, describe yourself with three different adjectives. These few questions are quite important; choose your words carefully and try not to embarrass yourself."

After hearing his mentor's words Hei changes his persona to that of a more serious one. "My apologies, I picked up that persona to appear clumsy. Its a way to make people underestimate me giving me the edge in battle. It sticks around when I'm alone for long periods of time." Hei says explaining his situation. "I spend most my time traveling and often find myself alone for months at a time. Monkeys are most human like and will make good companions for travel. On top of that they seem most diverse when it comes to chakra control and Ninjutsu. Being similar to human's allows them to be great shinobi of their own right. I'd feel more at ease knowing I have a friend I can trust on the battlefield then some animal with unethical attachment." He then takes a pause before continuing. "Just three words huh, Inteligente, Strategic and Decisive. Hei reply's with confidence.

Nope, things seem to be running smoothly. I rather enjoy this method of training.

Having listened to all that the newest initiate said, Koumei turned and looked the other man in the eyes. "I can't deny some semblance of logic in that but look around, this is hardly a battle. I need you for this personal endeavor; 'nobody' else will suffice. On a different note, it's certainly true that of all known summonings monkeys are the most human-esque. Consider for a moment that you and I, homo sapiens, are known to share a distant ancestor with some of the great apes. Well? Are all humans 'great'? Perhaps in hindsight it's not their rudimentary commonalities shared with 'people' that make them so.. exceptional. You seem to equate the potential of animals with the extent to which they are similar to people, like you and me. However, just like with genetics, monkeys and people do not follow the same path. People, even twins, within in the same population vary in terms of quantifiable 'greatness'. Now, the point of my tangent is simple: embrace these creatures for who and what they are, instead of what they are most akin to. Do you understand now?" No longer speaking, Koumei instead removed a large scroll from within his robe. "Well, this is the scroll that contains all the signers of the Monkey Contract. If you can understand what I've said, you may draw a bit of your own blood, just enough to write your name out with the hand you'll tend to perform the summoning technique with. Once you've signed the contract, we can move onto the next and most exciting phase: techniques!" With care, Koumei moved to open the scroll in front of his person, facing the initiate. On the scroll, at least four names could be seen written in blood, from right to left (oldest > recent): Hiruzen Sarutobi, Koumei Ren, Kirikoe Katsuryoku, Ryuu.

Hei, after hering the words of his teacher, takes a deep breath before stepping forward and replying "I understand." a few words but full of meaning. Hei then bites his right index finger and places it on the scroll next to the other signers. Writing his name out. "Uzumaki Hei". He then rises with a slight smile on his face. Excited for whats to come.

With a nod, as Koumei observes his newest student finish adding his name to the contract, he deftly grabbed the contract scroll and concealed it, once again, in his robes. "Good, the formalities are now fulfilled. Since you've just now signed the Monkey Contract and aren't properly acquainted with it quite yet, I'd like to start the practical component of this training session simple. First, you to perform the generic summoning technique. Once you've actually gotten your feet wet with the contract, then and only then, will I let you meet the monkey king. This isn't your first time summoning an animal, so as you may recall, you'll need to smear some blood on the hand you signed the contract with and then perform the following sequence of hand-seals: Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram. Then, place the very same hand on the ground near your person and release the chakra. Unlike with your other contract, whatever it may be, your goal will be to envision apelike characteristics and behavior specific to monkeys, just as you proceed to initiate the summoning technique. They won't be overly strong, but that's not to say they aren't useful. Go ahead. Give it a go."

⫷ OOC Segment ⫸

♦ Key to truly utilizing the contract is dialogue between you and the monkeys. Dialogue, got it?!?
♦ Remember, you can summon monkeys with the generic summoning. Refer to above and below.
♦ You'll be performing the following technique. Read it carefully, please (especially bolded bits).

Rank: B
Type: Defense/Attack/Suplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: To summon the creature the ninja will wipe blood on his hand, perform the Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram handseals and then touch the ground or another object, where a sealing formula will appear. Though it appears that as long as significant pressure is placed against the blood in some form, the summon will be complete, most summoning uses use a solid surface, though in some cases it can even be done mid air. There can be variations to the summoning steps, some ninja like Temari will wipe blood on her fan, then by swinging the fan the animal is summoned. Other ninja like Orochimaru wipe the blood across a snake tattoo on their arm first, then touch the ground. Others will clap their hands directly like Nagato through the use of his Animal Path. The user must have signed the contract with the creature he wants to summon but the technique can be used to summon a generic creature of that contract (B-Rank) which will have no special traits or abilities beyond those normal to the rest of the animals in the contract. The animal is always summoned on the mark that appears upon slamming the users hand or, if not the case, always in short range of the user.

"Seems fair" Hei says as he wipes the blood from his index finger across the palm of his hand before making the needed handseals. Kneeling down, Hei places his hand upon the ground while releasing his chakra, as he summoning formula manifests before a small cloud of smoke appears reveiling a standared Monkey that stands the same height of Hei, while knelled on the ground. "Hey there, whats you name?" Hei asks as the Monkey turns around and looks upon him. "Oh, are you the one whom summoned me? My name is Kenmaru" the monkey replied while extending his hand in greeting. Hei shakes Kenmaru's hand while replying. "I'm Hei Uzumaki, it's nice to meet you." After being aquanted with Kenmaru Hei stands once again and faces his teacher awaiting further instruction.

As Koumei observed his new student, Hei-kun, correctly perform the Summoning Technique, the subsequent cloud of smoke dispersed to reveal a young monkey. Though pleased with the results of the summoning technique, he was somewhat perturbed by the lack of dialogue exchange between his student and the newly arrived monkey. "Crucial to any summoning contract is proper communication." Making a single hand-seal, Koumei directs a large amount of chakra towards Hei-kun and his summoned ally, which affects both of their nervous systems via chakra distortion. The moment the illusion is induced nothing but utter darkness will be all Hei and Kenmaru can see. "What I require of you right now is quite simple Hei-kun: there won't even be a need for any techniques on your part. Your ears and mouths.. Use them to free yourselves from that world of darkness you're stuck in. Me being the great master I am, I will naturally do my part in attempting to prevent you from completing the task too easily. Don't disappoint me now, Hei-kun!"

Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes one handseal, causing the opponent to believe they have been trapped in a world of infinite darkness, where their sense of sight is useless. It is capable of affecting multiple targets within range. However, it does not negate their other senses.

Listening to his teacher Hei suddenly notices as his surroundings turn dark. "Ah, what is this?" Kenmaru says as he to is brought into the darkness. "Kenmaru, this is the Genjutsu known as Bringer of Darkness. We need to work together to dispel it, just fallow my voice, quickly." Hei replied while Kenmaru quickly moves closer to Hei. "Use our mouths.. Ah, I get it" Kenmaru says as he reaches Hei, grabbing hold of his arm as he bites into it. "Ahh, what the hell!?" Hei yells out in pain while shaking his arm in a cartoon manor, this while the light comes back to his eyes. The Genjutsu broken by the pain. "Alright then, hows this!" Hei says as he bites Kenmaru back in order to break the Genjutsu. Aftrwards, both stand facing each other in an aggressive manor before both bust out laughing while rolling around on the ground.

As Koumei observed Hei-kun and Kenmaru devise their strategy to dispel the illusion, he sighed as an audible expression of boredom. His student was communicating and even thinking, but Koumei was definitely being underestimated. The moment Kenmaru began moving, Koumei leapt towards the young monkey and thrusted his right foot straight out, so as to harmlessly push off of the monkey's left side. The monkey would be pushed a few yards away, but remain uninjured. "Denied! Like I just said, I won't be making things easy. Let's spice things up, shall we? A game perhaps? Yes, game time! Yo, my darling twin fools, answer my questions correctly and I'll let you move unimpeded. My first question, for Hei-kun: What is Kenmaru's favorite food? " As he asked his question, Koumei looked towards his student expectantly. To himself, he mused whether or not Hei-kun would get the question correct.

Hei, with his enhanced hearing from his Sound Element training hears as their is sudden movement from the ground where his Teacher was standing. "Kenmaru, keep your guard up!" Hei says as he to raises his guard listening for any sudden movement near by. Suddenly Kenmaru is knocked off balance to the side, although not taking much damage from the attack. "Damn it, that wasn't nice." Kenmaru says as he stands back up rising his guard. The Teacher then begins instruction on the next step, asking Hei to identify Kenmaru's favorite food. Hei pondered for a moment and thought to himself. "Bananas? All monkey's and apes love bananas right?". Kenmaru then scratches the back of his head wondering the reason of this question. Speaking without thinking, Kenmaru asks. "How would he know that my favorite food is Peanut butter and Jelly?" as soon as the question is asked Hei turns his body and reply's "PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY!" pointing his finger out at a bird in a tree, believing the noise to be Koumei hidden in it.

Sorry for the late reply, I got caught up in some stuff. Indeed, although I haven't really had any questions thous far. Although I am wondering about this training and where you are wanting it to lead, I figured I would just keep RP'ing and you would move it along as you wanted.

As the game carries on, Koumei is disappointed by how it proceeds. Retrieving a single senbon from his tool pouch, he then deftly flings it with pinpoint accuracy towards his unsuspecting student. Meant to just make a 'point', it does little more than sting as it pierces Hei's side. "Oi, fool, don't just guess bananas! Stereotypes are overrated. I want you to approach this situation properly. Did you really need to guess? Surely, there are easier ways to go about getting such information. Think! Next time I won't be so kind with your failings, Hei-kun and Kenmaru-kun."
