Momoshiki was nerfed. Blame it on Boruto.

Momoshiki was so powerful with only absorbing fodder jutsu. Now imagine if he would have absorbed a few of Naruto and Sasuke's jutsu.

The nerf was real. I would have liked to see them use ninjutsu against him just once. Instead we see fodder jutsu being amped.

Did you ever consider the fact that they chose not to use ninjutsu on purpose so that possibility was null? Did you ever consider the possibility that momoshiki would've won against naruto and sasuke if it wasn't for boruto? Boruto was weak but he was a small factor that the opponent did not consider. Naruto and Sasuke knew he could absorb techniques but felt like stretching their legs. Tbh it felt like they enjoyed that battle, instead of being afraid.

Yea this, boruto was the element of surprise because he was weak, momo did'nt expect anything from him, when sasuke charged at him he was firing an attack, but when boruto attacked, he just grabbed him, momo won't make the same mistake with either naruto or sasuke, thus why boruto was the perfect weapon to use againt him
