Kaguya have been displayed her intelligence during the fight with Naruto even RIGHT BEFORE she got sealed, she thought about whether she swap ice dimension yet aware of sasuke amatersu breaking out the ice and she's also aware of tghe risk of her chakra consuming, there's a reason why she agreed with BZ plan even though she hate the idea of killing them.

And momoshiki is Kaguya underling which means Kaguya is far superior in every way, it took 3 demigod (Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi with PS) to take down Kaguya while comparing to the fight with Momoshiki, the five kage literally do nothing after Momoshiki absorbed Kinishiki, and yet Boruto easily Killed Momoshiki with Giant measly rasengan.

If it were kaguya, she will never die which is why the only way to stop her is to seal her which not only Naruto and Sasuke teamwork but also all of the spirit Kages generation and Hagoromo did the work to pour all their soul together to seal her inside the moon.
