Momoshiki didn't STOP time for Boruto, rather Boruto's sensing skills are that good

They are sensing chakra via optic reception. Chakra is an intangible life force that can’t normally be seen, and when it is, it’s a noteworthy occurance such as when Naruto manifested chakra during his fight with Zabuza.

The Byakugan can also “see” thoughts and emotions if the user is powerful enough such as when Kaguya used it against Hamura. We wouldn’t actually say they’re physically seeing intangible things like thoughts but instead their sensory perception allows them to “see” in the most basic sense possible. Yes they see but not in the way I’m reading your nonsense comments.

Boruto’s dormant doujutsu perhaps allowed him to interact in that pocket of reality perhaps hense him being able visually sense Momo if that makes any sense. I’m thinking it’s kind of similar to the Jinchuriki pocket of space where hosts and bijuu can interact outside of everyone else’s viewing.

Sasuke was able to interact with Naruto pocket of space back at the beginning of Part II because the bulk of Kurama’s chakra was sealed giving him(Sasuke) more freedom to effect things there. Momos on a god tier level so Sasuke could perceive it but not much else. And Boruto, having a direct bloodline tie to the Otsutsuki and Hyuga blood could actually interact.

Honestly this is one of those instances where seeing the scene animated might give some more clarity on what is exactly going on.

You actually might be right. Boruto’s dormant Dojutsu would fulfill the criteria for the Magical Law of Sympathy. Basically in literature things with a strong connection to whatever is in question are the only things able to hurt or in our case, detect them. Silver hurts Werewolves because Silver is associated with the Lunar Cycle and Lycanthropy derives it’s power from the moon. Boruto is able to sense Momo because his Dojutsu stems from the same lineage. Meets all the requirements.

I agree with this. I don’t think it’s so much how well he does it as he *can* do it. Sasuke is a pretty good comparison in that he and Boruto got a plot freebie powerup that allows them to sense things your run of the mill sensor type couldn’t.

Correction, Chakra is not life force. Life force is soul. You're right about others. Chakra is not also. It's energy, energy is not intangible.

Chakra is normally intangible unless manifested through application of signs and Jutsu. The databooks clearly state that chakra itself cannot be seen excepting very rare instances (see above) or when expended in especially high amounts. Unless you have some major breakthroughs for the field of physics, energy cannot be observed. We can only see its effects on objects and systems. Even when energy is transferred into matter (kinetic energy) we cannot see it, only it’s effects. (Objects falling due to gravity)

Chakra gets broken up into Physical/Spiritual energy. The soul is the vessel in which chakra resides. No different than Aristotle’s example of an empty clay jar for the human soul. This is why a soul can be recalled via Edo Tensei by another’s chakra. The empty vessel is filled with a mediums chakra and can briefly return to the land of the living. Was chakra always a defining life force within the Naruto universe? No. However, after Chakra was distributed to people in universe it became a determining factor when looking at life expectancy, chakra reserves, and overall vitality.

Boruto felt Momoshiki before obtaining the seal, it's most likely some association with his Hyuuga genetics. Probably the result of his special eye in the flash forward.
