Jessica Dutro, the 25-year-old Oregon mother convicted of murdering her toddler son after suspecting he was gay, was sentenced to life in prison on Friday with the possibility of parole. Her boyfriend accomplice, 24-year-old Brian Canady, will serve just 12 and a half years before he is released.
The abusive mother of four was convicted earlier this month after courtroom testimony revealed she had conspired with Canady to inflict bodily harm on her four-year-old son Zachary, after she instructed Canady to “do some work on him.” In a series of Facebook messages presented in court, Dutro reportedly told Canady she suspected her son of being gay because “he walks and talks like it. Ugh.”
Zachary reportedly died from a combination of blunt-force trauma and failure to seek medical attention immediately after the attack. Trauma nurses noted that when the family finally arrived at the hospital, Zachary was “essentially dead,” and his three-year-old brother and seven-year-old sister were covered in bruises.
“Parents are supposed to protect their kids,” Judge Don Letournea told Dutro during sentencing. “And you were the most dangerous thing in your kids’ lives.”
Dutro’s remaining three children will reportedly stay with family in her absence. Their new caregivers told Orgeon Live the children “showed clear signs of neglect” and “lacked any sense of joy.”
She should've been put to death, but atleast some form of just has been served

blame liberals again!!! for trying to legalize and mainstream homosexuality, next what? lets fund some geeks so they can waste tax payers dollars on laser weather control systems? what could possible go wrong there.

also the mother should have got a death penalty, for unjustified hate crime and murder, she gets to continue to breath, while her kid continues to rot 6 feet bellow? that aint fair!

I'm not going to get involved with the political parties and whatnot with the first section of your post, but to your death penalty statement, I do not agree. I'm not trying to say you're wrong, but this is simply my opinion. I do believe this punishment is just, as the mother will not see the light of day again, unless she gets her parole (assuming she even gets it approved). She will spend the rest of her days in a locked cell, sleeping on a hard mattress or the cold stone floor. Staring into cement walls, surrounded by the same sights everyday. If that is not justice and fair punishment, tell me why the death penalty is justifiable.

Form of Just my ass. The bish needs to die. Fu*king psychotic tramp.
If we just kill people because they 'deserve it' then we are no better than they are. And taking a life isn't justice, its senseless murder with no justification. It doesn't matter if they are psychotic or sane, fairness is the best punishment and reward.

I don't know what kind of mindset you lead, but that is not just senseless murder to put someone to death for murdering a child who can barely stand up for himself. Furthermore, if we let them continue to live in this rotted world then there are chances that she will not learn and do it again. You sound like one of those fat preachy adults who believes that "not fighting back" is the right approach. Foolish. What if your mother was killed by an alcoholic mad man with no direction? Would you seek for the death penalty then?

I would love to see her rot in prison, but yet again if I was in prison I wouldn't want to rot in prison or be told by someone to do so.
So even though YOUR hatred for her is very strong.
You would have to see life in prison in your own perspective and see how you would react if you were in that courtroom.
But once again, I say, I hate her.
So don't say I supported her on her "actions".

Who said anything about not fighting back? How can murder be both something that is so forbidden and rotten to indulge in, that murder is the just punishment for it? We don't HAVE to do the death penalty. Someone murders someone, put them in jail for a very, long time. The death penalty is nothing more than killing people because killing people is wrong.

I have a question: The kids who shot Columbine. They killed themselves. Death was served onto them. Do you think that them killing themselves was justice?
