So RP training then? Cool.

Finding himself in the dark forest of Konoha, Kiritsugu Ganmi had heard that he would have to pass on quite some rare knowledge. This was on Mokuton, or Wood release, originally created by the First Hokage. Kiritsugu had researched it, and was capable of teaching it to those with Hashirama DNA, despite him not having control over the KKG himself.

"...Ya-ma-to, was it?"

Kiritsugu asked with a stern voice. His face was emotionless, and his dark clothes made him oh so more eerie. An odd man, clad in a dark suit, with paring dark shoes and a suitcase. This contained various scrolls.

"What can you tell me about Mokuton, or Wood release? Anything, ranging from strengths and weaknesses of the KKG, to what you know and plan to do with it, for supplementary, offensive and defensive purposes."

Kiritsugu crossed his arms, as he waited for the odd man to speak. Yamato had weird eyes that glared at Kiritsugu.

Wouldn't have it any other way :p

Yamato entered the forests of Konoha after his brief session with the Uchiha sensei. It was interesting to switch so quickly, especially after complaining about his 'rusty' skills in Mokuton. Luckily, he had managed to find a teacher who was more than capable of doing his job. Yamato wanted to question the authenticity of another Mokuton user in the Leaf Village, however, he could do so another time.

"...Ya-ma-to, was it?" A man spoke out, causing Yamato to snap back into reality and face his instructor. "What can you tell me about Mokuton, or Wood release? Anything, ranging from strengths and weaknesses of the KKG, to what you know and plan to do with it, for supplementary, offensive and defensive purposes."

Yet again, the instructor wasn't wasting any time with his introduction. However, being prepared for such a situation, Yamato pulled out a scroll and tossed it at his instructor, allowing him to read the contents without wasting the verbal effort.

➔ Description: Mokuton is one of the most rare Kekkeh Genkai Nature Transformations in the entire world. Created by the First Hokage, most Mokuton users have only been able to gain their proficiency in the element through the cells of the First Hokage. Mokuton combines the fluidity of Suiton and the durability of Doton to generate wood and plant structures across all ranges. It is an offensive, defensive, and supplementary ability.

➔ Strengths/Weaknesses: Mokuton is strong against Earth, Water, and Wind due to it's durability. Mokuton is weak against Fire and Lightning because of it's backgrounds in Earth release.

➔ Combinations: Mokuton can be used with many different releases and jutsu. It's primarily a terraforming fruit, thus it works a lot like earth in that sense. It can be combined with fire to add a blazing effect to it, or lightning for a similar effect.

➔ Goals: I want to learn wood style for the following reasons:
  • Wood Release is an extremely strong power that spreads across all ranges and attack styles
  • A mastery of Wood would define my Yamato bio
  • Wood Release will allow me to trap opponents and terraform the area much easier

This man was an odd one. He threw a scroll towards Kiritsugu, which contained a bunch of information on Wood Release. Kiritsugu read through it thoroughly, and turned his attention to the man, Yamato. His eyes squinted as he spoke, and his voice was thick and deep. One could easily see that he was a serious man, and he didn't waste any time on smaller issues.

"Not bad. However, a few things were missing. Mokuton is indeed to combination of Water and Earth natures, and its strength is against Water, and Earth as well. Don't forget Bijuu chakra as well (shout out Hashirama). It's weakness would be Lightning, as it cuts through the Wood with ease, due to its extreme heat and "sharp" quality its given. Wind release is somewhat neutral to the KKG, and it ultimately depends on the type of Wind technique used against it. Wood release would be able to tank the more blunt Wind attacks, taking size and logic into account, yet it would be able to be cut with sharper and more concentrated Wind techniques. It is also, neutral to Fire.

One of the most versatile KKGs out there, and there's a reason why it's so rare. It's one of the few skills where one can fight an entire battle, using Wood alone. It's capable of attacking, defending and being supplementary as well. Anyway, unlike elemental training, we'll get straight into this."

Kiritsugu says, as he cracks his knuckles, preparing to start off with this Yamato man. He seemed to be mature, so things would go easily.

"My method of teaching is quite simple. I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to perform it against a clone of mine. After that, give me at least 2 advantages and disadvantages of the technique, and how you would use it in battle. If you have an questions, feel free to ask.

Now, to manifest Wood chakra, you will combine your Water and Earth chakra. After doing so, focus it either into your body, or the ground, in order to create from said medium, a thin pole of Wood. A combination of control, precision and shape manipulation. This pole can then be used for close combat encounters, like fighting an incoming Taijutsu based opponent. Or, it can be used as support, as you perhaps use it to support your body weight for some Taijutsu, yourself. Use it against my clone (plus the other stuff I listed, all in RP style xD)."

Yamato listens closely as his instructor finishes off with the basics of Mokuton. This was much more insightful than his original knowledge on the Kekkeh Genkai, and he took every word into account. The cancellations got him the most. It seemed as though a weakness to both of the two base elements would result in a weakness to the stronger of the two. No wonder wood was resistant to fire, it was made from Suiton chakra.

Without much warning, the instructor released a Shadow Clone out of his body, quickly closing the distance between the two fighters. This wasn't Yamato's first time using Mokuton, which made it much easier to deal with the imminent threat. Focusing all of his chakra throughout his body, Yamato combined the cool, flowing feeling of Suiton with the dense, earthy feeling of Doton, combining the two to make a mobile, dense chakra that was ready to be put to use in it's own technique: Mokuton no Jutsu.

Grabbing his arm, right near the bicep, Yamato launched out his Mokuton chakra, converting his arm into a pole that struck out at the clone. Once it hit, he used Shape Manipulation to remove the bottom side of the pole now unmerged with his arm to form a meter long pole that was an inch in area. With a mighty swing, he grabbed onto the middle and bottom of the pole before swinging it heavily into his opponent, the clone dispersing with the hit.

"It's very versatile, and very easy to use, but the lack of chakra needed makes it all the more easy to break, and it's overall density due to that lack of chakra makes it a bad defense. I guess I would only use it offensively unless I came across a much easier jutsu to defend."

"Good job, and its a pretty bad ass way to start a fight by creating a pole from yourself. Here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user creates a thin pole of wood from either the ground or himself. The pole itself can be used as a hand to hand weapon to strike opponents or as a support tool.

"We'll go two at a time, since most of these techniques are extremely simple. Now, for the first technique, manipulate your Wood chakra once more, and focus it into either your hands or the ground. This allows you to create 3-4 kunai sized projectiles, which can be launched towards the opponent. What makes this technique pretty cool, is that it can be done from short range, to long range from you. Use it against my clone."

Kiritsugu creates a clone that runs towards Yamato.

"After that, manipulate your Wood based chakra, and create a dummy, made of Wood. (Imagine him to look like Mokujin, from Tekken.) This dummy would rise from the ground, and is capable of helping you in training, or even in battle. But because of its low rank, training wise, its pretty good. Use it against my clone."

"Good job, and its a pretty bad ass way to start a fight by creating a pole from yourself. Here you go."

Yamato was happy to hear that from his sensei. He prided himself on being creative with his jutsu, regardless of his simple they may or may not be. It's always good to have an ace up your sleeve just in case a situation calls for a bit of diverse action.

Kiritsugu wasted no time creating two clones, prompting the first to run at Yamato before launching the second in unision with his teachings.

「Doton no Jutsu」- Earth Release Technique

Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

Calm and content, Yamato waited for the first clone to come into close-quarter-combat range. As soon as he did, Yamato used the fundamentals of Earth Release to form a pillar out of his foot, launching him into the air. As he flew over the clone, he rotated his body so that his chest was facing the back of the clone, pulling up his arms in an X pattern before creating two wooden projectiles on either arm. With the force of chakra and his own arm movement, he lashed out his arms, flinging the wooden kunai into the clone's spinal cord, prompting it to disappear in a puff of smoke.

✤「Mokuton: Moku no Goku Rendan」- Wood Release: Wood Pole Combo

Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user creates a thin pole of wood from either the ground or himself. The pole itself can be used as a hand to hand weapon to strike opponents or as a support tool.

Following the first clone came the second, an identical twin comprised of chakra. Yamato didn't take much effort in regards to defeating this clone, as he used a similar tactic to before. Allowing the clone to get into close range, Yamato stopped it's assault with a quickly sprouted wooden dummy. The clone punched through the dummy, causing it's arm to become stuck in the creation. Without giving a single care, Yamato struck out with his previously re-learned jutsu, pushing a wooden pole through the dummy with such force that it's chest was penetrated instantly.

"For the first jutsu, the technique is very versatile because of it's small size and range of creation points, but because of it's low rank, the wood can be easily broken by a strong defense, and it's too small to do much damage on a large scale. The second jutsu holds a similar point, It's good for supplementary uses but it lacks a major advantage in battle."

"Awesome, nice performance. Here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: Focusing chakra into his hands or the ground, the user will make 3 to 4 small (kunai sized) projectiles of wood and propel them against the enemy.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A(+5 for any hits landed by the dummy)
Description: The user creates a training wooden dummy to help him train or to fight against an opponent.

"Next, a technique where you will start off by forming the Bird → Dog → Snake hand seals. You will then manipulate your Wood chakra to cause multiple pillars to sprout from the ground around you. These cover your body, and by using your chakra, you will change your appearance to one you desire. Basically, an advanced version of Henge, where you can change into someone else with more detail and precision than the E rank Ninjutsu technique. Use it to assume a form other, than your usual one."

Kiritsugu then simply waits for Yamato to amaze him.

"After that, the basic Wood technique. Using your Wood chakra, you will create small pillars, tools of Wood, shields, trees, etc. to fight with, or simply to help you. These are merely limited to your imagination, though don't go overboard, its just D rank after all. It's a nice technique to create a pillar to launch you upwards, for example, or create a make shift sword of wood. It's great. Use it against my clone."

Yamato was rather uninterested in the first jutsu, but he had to make this work out for him somehow. Deciding it was better to truly surprise his opponent, Yamato formed the Bird → Dog → Snake seals and allows multiple wooden pillars to encompass his body. With a swift transformation, he formed the body of a naked woman with long brown hair and silver, a small smoke bomb released with his transformation in order to hide his newly formed breasts and reproductive organs.

"Oh senpai, you wouldn't harm me, would you?" He asks harmlessly, his voice mimicking that of a female with such accuracy that not even the most pristine of Jounin could tell it apart from the real Yamato.

In his moment of weakness, however, Yamato hoped to distract the clone as well. His mind had wandered, and now he was open for the clone to attack him.

"AAH! Senpai, please help me! This jutsu is only good for supplementary uses! It's too stiff and I need to keep up my voice!"

As the clone came into range, Yamato unleashed a small-yet-broad tree to defend against any of the clones attacks, forming it in a hemispherical shape to help cover both himself and his sensei. As his sensei looked towards him, Yamato spread his legs ever so slightly and parted his breasts, staring at his sense with the most kawaii-desu face ever.

"Sensei, this technique is very diverse and can lead to powerful combos, but it lacks the powerful chakra needed to work as an effective offensive attack."

Yamato hoped to lead his sensei into a false state of security so he could ensure the next technique with much less issue.

"Uhm, that was some good performance right there. He-Here you go."

Kiritsugu cleared his throat, breaking the awkwardness that now filled the air.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10 (-5 per turn to keep active)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: By focusing chakra and performing the Bird → Dog → Snake hand seals, the user makes wood pillars sprout from the ground and cover his whole body, while using chakra to cover it with precision to produce the desired effect. By covering the wood with his chakra the user is able to transform it into another shape or form with increased detail, by using his wood chakra. This is used to create an effect similar to the transformation technique but to a higher degree of detail and realism.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: Creates small wood pillars or trees to trap, defend, or fight with. These can be created from the users own body or from the ground.

"Now, for the uh, last two of the D rank section. A very simple technique, only usable in short range though. You will manipulate your Wood chakra, and cause a small pillar to rise beneath the opponent and hit them into the air. A nice way to both get the opponent airborne, and also, hurt them in the process. Use it against my oncoming clone."

Kiritsugu creates a clone that runs towards Yamato.

"After that, a more Taijutsu oriented technique. Once close to the opponent, you will deliver a barrage of punches and kicks (free to aim wherever). You will then form your left arm into a wooden pole, as you plant it into the ground, as support for your body. As it lifts you, you will deliver a kick to the opponent's chin, sending him airborne. So basically, the pole works as support, as you slightly lean back, and lift yourself up and kick the opponent under the chin. Very useful, in the right scenario. Use it against my clone."
