Dean makes his way to the training field, where he's to find a student who had actually created the KG, but somehow forgot how to use it >,>. None other than Hashirama, dubbed the God of Shinobi. Dean had a bag on his back with some scrolls, and although he couldn't use the element himself, he had great knowledge about it, from his time as a fighting partner and team mate, Yamato.
"Hashirama! How the hell did you forget your own KG? ._. Nonetheless, tell me everything you know about it, strengths and weaknesses, and anything else you can muster about it. You created it after all."
Dean smirks, as he talks to the man. This was quite weird.

"It is an extremely unique advanced nature in many regards. The first basic fact about wood is that it is a combination between water and earth. This combination allows wood to be produced from three sources: my body, water, or the earth. That gives it fairly amazing versatility in where it can come from. But the most amazing trait about wood release is that the chakra that is created and when released from any of these three sources it actually converts it into a life source. Wood Release isn't simply an element like steel, earth, or ice but it actually creates life. This may have something to do with the Juubi which it is rumored where this extremely rare element stems from. But these are simple rumors and legends. Building on its life source and other unique qualities Wood Release also acts as a powerful bijuu chakra suppressant. The strongest wood techniques are even absolute defenses against Bijutsu - for example Hobi no Jutsu creates a dome to defend against even the strongest of bijuu chakra based techniques such as the Bijuudama. Wood can absorb chakra as well similar to how Water Release can use Grudge Rain. However this goes even further. It can absorb chakra from anything living through simple contact and is especially responsive to Bijuu chakra. That's all I got for the element that I made .____."

"Very good, never questioned your knowledge on the subject, Shodaime sama. Now, we will continue. My method is as follows, I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to perform the technique and state at least 2 advantages and disadvantages, and how you would use the technique in battle. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
Now the first technique is quite simple, and you will manipulate your Wood based chakra and focus your Wood based chakra into the ground before you, or even use yourself as a medium. You will then create a pole of Wood from the ground or your body, and use this pole for close combat purposes or even for support, if need be. Use it against my clone (plus the other stuff).
After that, focus your Wood based chakra into your hands, or the ground, in order to create 3-4 kunai sized projectiles. These can be shot towards the opponent, so imagine the possibilties since it can be made near anywhere up to long range, and its size too. Great for those sneaky attacks."

Hashirama stood firm molding his earthen and water chakras together. Within his body at his gut his new Mokuton chakra sprang to life, literally. As he applied basic manipulation and released the chakra from his body he outstretched his left palm and from it a thin pole of wood came forth and continued to come forward until reaching roughly the length of a normal average polearm. He detached the staff from his hand taking it into both hands with a firm grasp.
This is a surprisingly useful technique. You can create this in short-range from the ground or anywhere from your body. So this essentially means that you create a polearm. That's how I imagine it. A staff or polearm used for close range combat or one that can be thrown. Now the main advantage to this is that I can see a lot of uses from creating it from your own body. So if an opponent comes at you in close range from behind you can just create a polearm to burst from your back or any other point of your body to smack them away. That is one basic usage. You can also use this to push yourself upwards or to the side (if you have something to push against) which would allow you to avoid small scale and relatively slow moving projectiles. There are no real disadvantages to using this. Just depends on how you use it.
Focusing further Mokuton chakra into both of his hands Hashirama releases it shaping the chakra into sharp projectiles of wood roughly the shape of kunai. He whips each of them quickly at a nearby tree.
A fairly basic technique allowing you to create some sharp projectiles. Each projectile (3 to 4) is E-Rank in strength so that should be kept in mind. There are no disadvantages to it other then the fact that there are other wood techniques which can do the same but probably better with more uses. So this isn't a technique I'll use often.

"Awesome, now, for the next ones, Hashirama dono. Use your Wood based chakra to create a wooden dummy, which is capable of training with you, or even fighting alongside you in battle. Cool thing is, the wooden man can be a source for further wood based attacks, so one could fling the wooden man towards the opponent, and use another Wood technique from it."

Using your chakra, you will form the wood into the desired look, and create the perfect disguise which is a bit more realistic than the transformation technique."

Focusing Mokuton chakra throughout his body Hashirama releases it into the earth causing a human sized wooden man to burst from the earth 5 meters from his position. The man takes a high stance motioning for Hashirama to come forth to train in taijutsu. But alas, now was not the time for tai training.
Your one point about using it for additional wood techniques certainly is interesting and can have its place. I suppose my one question on this technique is that do you have to maintain it or does it have a certain sentience to it. As in I can do other things while this runs around and punches things
?Focusing additional mokuton chakra throughout the ground around him Hashirama causes numerous thin pillars of wood to emerge from the ground and wrap around him. Applying the basics of the normal transformation technique Hashirama pictures his desired body - Dean himself (huehuehue). The transformation completes and the wooden pillars rush back into the earth. He stands with a blank look on his face as if to seem as if nothing was out of place.
Anyways, my issue with this technique is that you can't quantify the higher detail. Meaning honestly there is no difference in RP terms between this and the normal transformation technique. It seems to be purely for RP purposes.

Using your Wood based chakra, you will focus it into the ground before you or into your own body, and create small pillars, trees etc which can be sued to attack, defend or for supplementary purposes. Its basically quite versatile, as you can make anything from wood with this technique, but its limited to D rank power, so be sure to remember that.
After that, manipulate your Wood based chakra, to create a pillar of wood which rises from beneath the opponent. This blasts the opponent into the air, and allows you to follow up with another technique, which requires the opponent to be airborne.
Lastly, a technique which requires a bit of close combat. You will make your way towards the opponent, and perform several punches and kicks, which would aim to stagger the opponent. Once done, you will form your left arm into a wooden pillar, which you will then use as support for you, to lift your body up to be able to kick the opponent under the chin, which blasts the opponent into the air."
