im nearly at B rank suiton and Doton is so slow havent started kind of looking for a new teacher

Yamato continually combining his Suiton and Doton chakra sends the Mokuton chakra back through the ground and all the way towards the nearest training dummy he focuses the mokuton chakra out of the ground launching the dummy into the air after a short 5 seconds of it remaining airborne it comes crashing down into the hard ground shattering into small pieces of wood

Well if you only have D rank doton then you can only learn up to D rank wood.

Yamato runs up to a dummy and throws multiple punches and kick's he then slams his two hand into the ground that were gathering Suiton and Doton chakra, the mokuton chakra creates a wood pillar that lifts Yamato into the air as this is happening he kicks the enemy in the chin lifting him into the air
