Well, I read the Naruto chapters where Yamato uses the Wood Release. At first, I didn't pay much attention. But, when it was expanded upon more, then I really started liking the element. And, it's a really versatile element. The terrain of the battlefield can be altered by growing a vast amount of forest or trees. Plus, it's good as a projectile too, as Wood pierces through materials easily. Also, Yamato could restrain the Nine Tails' influence with Wood Release, as Wood Release is pure yang chakra. Madara and Hashirama displayed excellent mastery over wood, by using Wooden Dragon to suck up the user's chakra. And, I noticed, the Juubi's final form was a tree, which obviously constituted wood. Hashirama also could use Wood Sage Mode, and summon a gigantic statue which had thousand hands, which easily overpowered the strongest Bijuu among the Nine. Defensively, Wood is an excellent element, as wooden shaped domes or walls can be created instantly, which easily block attacks. These are all the factors that make Wood Release an excellent KG, which make it worth learning.

Weaknesses: Lightning, as lightning is a powerful cutting element and can cut through wood. I guess Fire too, as it burns off the wood.

Strengths: It's strong against Bijuu chakra(as it was seen that Hashirama's Wood Dragon restrained Full Kyuubi), Water( as it absorbs Water), Earth( as Wood can cut and break the Earth's surface), also Tailed Beast chakra cloaks, as it was seen that Yamato could restrain the cloak's influence by using Mokuton.

Okay for this first tech you gather up your earth and water chakra. Mix the two creating moku chakra. Then from your hand grow a six foot long bo staff.

I proceed to close my eyes and calm down my mind, trying to get in unison with the environment. The sweet chirping of birds is heard distantly, and the gentle water flows beside where I stand. After being one with nature, I gather raw chakra in my body. It's liveliness can be felt, as it tries escaping my 361 pressure points. Feeling energetic, I visualize an image of a terrain of Earth in my mind. Focusing on it's properties, I slowly nature manipulate my raw chakra into Doton chakra. I feel the change in the nature of my chakra, as I feel it getting rough and irregular.

Maintaining my doton chakra, I focus upon my chakra once more. This time round, I think about the properties of water and it's gentle sound. Eventually, I perform nature manipulation on it, changing my chakra nature into Suiton.

Focusing on both Doton and Suiton chakra, I gradually proceed to "mix" them, as they slowly get converted into Mokuton chakra. I channel this chakra into my hand. I then, perform shape manipulation on it, using the right amount of chakra to create a wooden pole, which is approximately 6 foot long.

Okay now for your next tech. Using your water and earth chakra make moku chakra.Then channel it into your hands and grow two kunai one in each hand. Then chuck them at this dummy.

Focusing deeply, I gather both Earth and Water chakra simultaneously and "mix" them. This results in the production of raw Mokuton chakra in my body. I then channel it to my hands and perform shape manipulation on it, growing two wood coated kunais out of my hand. I then, look at the position of the dummy and using precise focus, I throw the kunai projectiles at the dummy, exactly at the centre of his chest.

Okay now for the next jutsu. Channel your moku chakra into the. Mold the moku chakra into wood. Then using shape manipulation shape it into a dummy. Much like the one you threw kunais into. Now if you've ever played tekken there's a character that's looks just like this jutsu. Also it acts just like this jutsu too by mimicking the opponent.

I gather Earth and Water chakra in my body, as I simultaneously mix them, which forms Moku chakra. I channel this chakra towards my feet, from wherein it reaches the ground, after which I perform shape manipulation on it, forming a dummy made up of wood.

Okay next tech. First perform the ird → Dog → Snake hand seals. Then sending your moku chakra into the have pillars spout upwards having them cover your body. Then have the wood change how you look. This is like henge no jutsu except at a much higher detail.

I gather Earth and Water chakra simultaneously in body, mixing them together in a perfect ratio to form Mokuton chakra. I then perform the Bird→Dog→Snake handseals in conjunction, which manipulates my chakra and I form Wood chakra. I then send this manipulated chakra into the ground, performing shape manipulation on it, forming pillars sprout up which surround my body. I then manipulate my chakra to make the wood pillar look like a dummy.

The original description was creating a wooden dummy. I'm slightly confused. So, I create pillars which cover my body and then I shape it into a dummy, right?

Okay, so you've learnt Wooden Dummy. Let's move onto the- Actually no. Let's just clarify some things about Wood Release.
Wood is weak against Lightning and cutting winds.
Wood is strong against Earth, and water.
Wood can be created directly from your body, being that it's through the usage of the simple D-ranked Wood Style technique, or Greater Wood Technique.
Wood can be created on a watersource. It emits from the watersource, sa if it was earth.
Wood can be used whilst you're mid-air, as seen here, chapter 513

Now, let's move on.
Now. *Shows hand signs* Form these and focus your two chakras together. Focus it through and out your body, through your feet and into the ground. Forcefully cause wooden pillars to sprout from the ground forming around you. By doing this, have them clad your body, whereafter you will manipulate it's form and appearence accordingly to what you wish to look like. Very much when Yamato disguised himself as Sasori.

Explain some pros and cos about the technique. Theres nothing depthly about it, though.

I see, *notes down*.

I perform the handseals you've shown me and gather Suiton and Doton chakra together. I then focus it throughout my body, sending it into my feet and towards the ground. As I send chakra, I shape manipulate it to form several wooden pillars, which emerge from the ground, engulfing me. I then change the shape of the pillars and change it's appearance to form a wooden shaped figure which looks like Madara. >_>

Advantages:

• Quick to perform and one can disguise himself as a fellow friend of an opponent to deceive him.
• Unlike Henge No Jutsu, which just changes appearance, this creates a physical material to hide the appearance.
• Can be used as a diversion tactic and for spying purposes, when Yamato transformed into Hiruko(sasori's puppet) and almost fooled Orochimaru and Kabuto.
• The user can make a wood clone and then make the wood clone use this jutsu like Yamato did.

Disadvantages:

• Would only work as a stealth jutsu, and isn't really useful in eye to eye battles.
• If the opponent discovers the user, then he/she can pierce through the wood easily and damage the user.

I've never given out advantages and disadvantages for Mokuton, I know I suck. T_T
