Mokuton release stronger than tailed beasts?

Random thought but I'm remembering the epic battle we saw between Madara and Hashirama. Madara ordered the Kyubi to fire a tailed beast bomb at Hashirama, who not only withstood the hit, but deflected it with a mokuton technique (wood release: closed football stadium jutsu!).

The Kyubi also had its hands full fighting the wood techniques Hashirama threw at him. Even when Madara used wood techniques against Naruto, they defeated Naruto. (wood release: badas* wood dragon jistu!).

We also know that Naruto going fox tail could be squashed by Yamato using wood techniques.

Ergo, wood techniques are stronger than the tailed beasts.

I wouldn't say it's stronger, it's just perfect for dealing with them.

Kushina's chakra chains were able to pin a full sized 100% kyuubi, This doesn't mean her chakra chains > the kyuubi.
