Mokuton Overrated/ Hashirama also overrated

His mokuton has two significant strengths.

1. Scale
2. Combining 2 elements

The fact that he can use it on such a large scale means it can change the battlefield to his liking and utterly disturb his opponents flow for battle. Not to mention he can use it as pure defense and as a deadly weapon.

Combining 2 elements makes it impervious to single element counters like fire. Just like fire/wind combos are impervious to water.

Hashirama is powerful. Just learn to accept it. If it'll be easier for you to do so, you may think of him as a convenient plot device that was given that much power just so Madara wouldn't be able to seize control and end the manga, which is not entirely false anyway.

why did Kishi decide to make Mokuton seem all that, just as I was thinking about his I was like wait.. so growing a forest in an instant trumps blowing fire out your mouth.

is it rated so high just cause only one person was able to successfully use it from birth.


Hashi has no feats except Mokuton (which I was just stating how it shouldn't even be that powerful) and automatic healing which is more of a defensive.

only thing Hashi has besides that is wooden human thing and 1000 armed kan which once again is just WOOD! just wood, I don't understand.

thing is if madara can breath fire to burn mokuton then he will do that already.
Mokuton sip your chakra and turn into more wood. It can even tank biju level at ease and make them pet, that is enough say i guess.

I think wood style is powerful more for it's chakra absorption powers than anything else. Because of this, it can nullify most chakra infused ninjutsu. Plus, in a story that at it's genesis begins with a God Tree, wood will end up being important.

The seals prevent the Juubi from doing that otherwise they wouldn't be known as seals
