A member does not simply become an administrator. Admins are the persons that created/greatly contributed to the website since the beginning. To become a mod, you must apply when mod applications are up. New mods are chosen by admins. There are also several requirements.
When admins need new moderators, they open up an application section. You will see a new section and will be able to post an application.
As for requirements: Whatever admins are looking for at the time will be stated in the applications when it opens.
Usually, level of maturity, the track record at NB(infraction history) or otherwise and general behaviour is taken into consideration.
Special skills may be needed for certain sections such as good RP knowledge for RP mods and GFX for GFX section. Familiarity with forum rules and how helpful you are at the forum is also a plus.
Wait. When we are in need of additional members for the staff we create a new section in the forum called: 'Moderator applications'. If you are interested in applying for the position you will do so there by following the guidelines and template that you will find in that special section.
What not to do:
Do not create a thread asking to become a moderator.
Do not visitor or private message the staff.
When the s/mods say 'no' to you after contacting them to request a moderator's position do not contact the admins.
Keep in mind that we consider messages requesting a staff position as spam and very annoying.
Same goes for the designers. Admins will ask for applications if and when they need them. What exact qualification they would be looking for at that time will be explained accordingly.
Normal mods ( blue/pink names) look after specific sections assigned to them. Gmods (green names)have powers in all the forums at the site and admins (the red names)are the ones who take care of all the forums and the site itself.
