my opinion : modern thechnologies created plotholes in naruto Manga...forexemple why didn't alliance shinobies resort to jet fights and tanks and helicopters to bombard the Juubi??....remember??...preta path showed considerable strenght during battles..


-why dont they use Walkie-talkies to communicate...instead of waisting their chakra with telepathy communication (dont know the name of the jutsu)...


-why kishomoto portrayed konoha as nomads then suddenly decides to give them develped thechnologies such as phones and computers....this just proves that kishimoto lies what's convient to him...


-Modern thechnoligies should have destroyed the concept of "shinobi" and turned it into "SOLDIER"....but kishi still don't care

At the point of the Fourth Shinobi World War, warfare was mostly based on the usage of chakra techniques. So, the focus was on Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, etc; not on refining technology. So, logically, Jet Planes, Tanks, etc would not even exist at that point, which is why they had no role in the plot.

It was only after the fall of Kaguya and the realization to the shinobis what Kaguya wanted to do via chakra (Make humans mindless zetsus) was there a shift to usage of technology over chakra. This is why the villages have become so advanced technology wise that they should be called cities instead. I suspect Orochimaru had a huge involvement on advancement of Technology.

Logically, it would still take 50+ years from Gaiden Time for Jet Planes and Tanks to come into the story.

1: Because there are no jet fighters, tanks or helicopters in NV.

2: Because the walkie talkies are inconvenient, while the telepathy justu can be done to large numbers of people at considerable distances

3: They did have technology even at the start. first example i can remember is watching gaara on security cameras when he has finished the second exam. as for how it got better after the second time skip, we didnt have ipads fifteen years ago, but now we do.
