It's not about being an active poster or not. I agree with Drizzy. If you want to get know us vm us. A simple "Hey, how are you" is enough to start a convo. Also, most mods/admins are active posters just not in active sections like NDS. I for one hang around forum games and chatterbox. Horus and other gfx mods post in Design hall. It's a matter of where to look.
To be perfectly fair, being in NDS for too long would be a detriment to anyone's mental sanity.

Having a moderator that just had to suffer through that would not be quite ideal for this site.

It's a hard task. No one in their right mind will go ''socialize'' in NDS with all these people trolling all day saying ''Itachi > your Fav gg!'' and such nonsense can make any ordinary person avoid that section.

The only sections that I could see mods socialize are GD (to a certain degree, it's getting cancerous), manga (they don't have too much free time nor do I believe they read a lot of series besides naruto and some popular ones like TG) and chatterbox (ppl don't like that section because you can't gain posts counts so).
Interesting, I am limited to the sections I can go so, Its mostly NDS for me lol, but I see your Pov.

OKay, Ill VM you all,.
And try my hand at some of these other sections.
Question is the Art Hall like Gone?

The quickest way to ruin a hobby is to make it your job. If a thread piques their interest then let them respond naturally. Requiring them to respond half-heartedly just to fulfil a quota seems artificial and unlikely to be personable.

There are occasional threads which I'll log in for but I would never agree to a system in which I have to contribute to some of the nonsense that gets posted. Why require that of them?

This response is spot on imo, the mods here already do enough without adding a posting requirement to their list of "things to do". As Drizzy said just send them a VM if you want to chat with them, thats what I do although in saying that its mostly only Horus lol. The NDS is fun to read all the bullshit threads, but its a horrible place to post lol. Anyway keep up the great work NB staff:)

Honey, My threads give you life, and nourish your soul like mothers milk. You love them.

Think of this like America....actually dont... but you know who the presidents and mayors, like the humanize themself to fain the favor of the people. I think doing so will reduce the trolling and have people consider the rules more, as personal interactions will conduct more empathy and understanding.
In a position of power, a bit of detachment is necessary to refrain from compromising their ability to follow their duties. While I would like to see more interactions I think that it wouldn't help reduce problems on the site. The only way to reduce trolling and rule breaking is to report it as soon as you see it and refrain from posting in that thread despite your feelings on the matter.

Only you can prevent forest fires. ;3

I don't think it should be a requirement >_> But yeah, it would be cool to interact more personally/socially with mods/admins. It's true, I don't see em start threads much
Have you heard or the "Devil's Trio"? It's refreshing to see mods make conversations and crack jokes especially if you approach their humor with an open mind. I enjoy it when they do it out of their own volition though and not because they are expected to.

Are you stupid?

Just because you're a mod shouldn't mean you have to post a certain amount of times unless it's the requirement of a mod. Far as I know that is not a requirement they have to meet but the requirement for them is to MODERATE a section.

Furthermore why does it matter if they post or not? Are their opinions or posts better than ours? Are you not happy with our posts?
