I get it, moral ambiguity is more interesting/chic than moral absolutism, but some people are just evil and need to be put down like rabid dogs. Madara is one of those people, regardless of hiding behind seemingly beneficent motives and his warped sense of idealism. Letting every single villain become just a "hero who strayed" downplays or outright denies the existence of actual, no-doubt-about it, beyond the pale evil.
