Asuma was a elite jonin, Above average however neji was never called that like gai and kakashi were
not to mention
Neji lost to a 30 percent kisame clone where asuma was keeping up somewhat with hidan. Akatsuki members are more relative to asuma then neji
Nonetheless, I myself agree with the elite Jonin designation as it is applied in the "coommunity".
Still, did Neji ever have the chance to be called that? Simple age means he would never have been rated highly due to experience and spirit (Will of Fire . . . ) being highly valued in general since Jonin do not only do combat missions.
I see Neji tagged in a context that has a literal army of lookalikes looking specifically to tag. How does this translate to a defeat, especially when the very next thing that happens is Neji destroying that clone with his counter-attack?
What exactly was your thinking when you posted that image?
I can certainly show you Neji beating that exact clone, but why do you ask for it? The initial claim of that instance proving defeat was yours, the burden of proof is on you.
