I was having a talk with a guy here and he seems to think that Mitt Romney is Mexican and Barack Obama is Kenyan... What do you guys think? I was under the impression that they were both Americans!!!

Whatever you say .... first off Latino/hispanic is not a race.... its an ethnicity. Therefore if I was white with blonde hair and clear eyes which I'am and I was born in Mexico to parents who have lineage to Europe I would be a white Hispanic of European decent. George Romney was born to American parents in Mexico... therefore he is Mexican a white Mexican. Mitt Romney is part Mexican not by blood but by the nationality his father was. In conclusion Mitt Romney is a white male of Mexican heritage. Wow... you are just being ignorant now. How is he of Mexican Heritage when he was born in the United States and his Natitionality is in the United States. His father was born in the United States and had a U.S nationality. His mother had U.S nationality. No one in the Romney family is Mexican Heritage because they were all born in the U.S and had U.S nationality. The only affiliation they had with Mexico was a period of time when they went there to escape prosecution. After that they came right back... His Mother is American therefore Romney is Half Mexican/Half American

Obama is Kenya/American his father was a Government economist in Kenya and his mother was born in Hawaii, Honolulu

Obama is therefore half Kenya/Half American born on US soil

Since they at least have one parent for the USA they are still able to run for president

Mexicans are Americans too, in fact, they're in North America. Now if you're talking US citizens. that's different. There are no legal Mexicans in the US, only illegal ones, so if Mitt is a legal citizen of the USA, then he can't be Mexican since that is a seperate country. Neither is he of Spanish descent, one would need the required characteristics. Obama I'm not so sure...he would have eliminated the doubt by producing his birth certificate immediately instead of all the delay.
