The current villain possessing people's bodies in Boruto: Next Gen also has made a habit out of talking like this, explaining Shikadai's own jutsu to him in detail shows an ominous but unmistakable interest, Metal also took on Mitsuki's glare and the villain involves snakes. Considering the series has limited time to install Mitsuki into the main cast, this is almost definitely the way they're doing it.​

I'm not sure if this is a satirical post but I don't think mitsuki is a bad guy or double agent unless if he's an unknowing sleeper agent.

I don't think so. Mitsuki only came to Konohagakure because he didn't want to listen to Orochimaru or Log.

Mitsuki probably just has a lot of intel on anything Konoha-related thanks to Orochimaru (or Kabuto). So it would be weird for him to be stupid or not really well resourced.

But I don't think he's a villain.

Just because he knows a lot doesn't meant he's plotting either that info came with files he got or maybe that's his strange way of learning about people I don't think he would be working for oro of his own will

Don't think Mitsuki is working for Orochimaru, maybe not consciously, since he did ditch him.
