Did Kishimoto forget Senjutsu is sided with yang, the sun side??

He claims Mitsuki represents the moon but gave him a Yang power which stands for the opposite of moon.

How is Senjutsu sided with yang? Senjutsu comes from Natural Energy, which comes from the Shinju Tree, who has oth yin and yang chakra.

Well, Boruto is being trained by Sasuke, who is essentially the avatar of Yin. The new generation probably will have more "complete" Yin/Yang than the previous generation. Orochimaru meant it more in an ideological sense, anyway. Orochimaru himself always identified with the darkness of the Shinobi world, but he explored powers such as Senjutsu and Mokuton.

The Yin and Yang concept of powers doesn't apply to them, Orochimaru was just speaking metaphorically. Boruto will have Hyuga taijutsu so technically that also makes him Yin as well.
