mistake in the manga

i remember somewhere someone said that souls group together to become families they cant actually have children since souls are created through people dying (well they are ''released'' sorta) so then what about the noble families whats with them they are souls to (shinigami maybe but still souls) they cant give birth ect... how were their clans formed and if souls cant give birth and the clan just joined together why were they so opposed to byakuya bringing in rukia


personally i think this is a huge mistake in the manga

well I don't actually know where it said that they couldn't have children, because in the SS they are still "alive" in a sense.

and part of the reason they were opposed was because her and her sister were not from noble families..

well I don't think its ever been established that they can have kids, and you have to remember SS is potentially thousands of years old so the could have adopted people or found ppl from their earthly clans...

i think shinigami's are diffrent then the rest regarding haveing babys just like they have to eat and the rest dont also if shinigamis couldnt get baby's ichigo wouldnt be born

They never said that spirits can't have children. What they meant by family was that often spirits cross over to SS alone. So to make things easier people multiple people that are alone group together and form a 'family'.
There's nothing weird with that.

And the reason why they were opposed to Rukia joining the Kuchiki-family was because she was from the 78th district of the Rukongai O_O, while they are a noble family. That's the same as adopting a tramp into the Britisch Royal family ~_~

Though Kubo hasn't explained everything very well about that matter, it is certainly not a mistake of some sort.

dude thats not the only mistake in the manga there are many other mistakes...for example that spirt that used to take the form of a bird in the world of the living can remember every thing about his life before he moved on to the sould society and i remember that shinigami and souls cant remember thier past...

i think the bit about them grouping together is in the early stuff - around about the part where they enter SS. chad meets the kid that was in the canary xd or something like that...

I think the grouping together is refering to them being all alone when they initially enter SS (after being guided there by the butt end of a shinigami's hilt - i cant remember the term)

as for children - i think they can have children, once there there. but if say a mom and child died (in the real world) they wouldnt neccessarily be together in SS *cries*
