Is it just me or does the whole speed, FTG thing seem kinda overrated in a way. Now hear me out I'm not a Minato hater or anything, but what's the difference between

It all honestly looks the same to me, at the end of the day they are in one spot and then move in to another far away spot within the blink of an eye..

Rock Lee has still displayed the greatest amount speed during the Chuunin Exams vs Gaara, no one else in the Narutoverse went that h.a.m before lol

Minato can go ANYWHERE the kunai is in the blink of an eye, Naruto can't. Next thread.

The difference is the power level of characters you started to compare to

Rock Lee still displayed greater speed than Minato imo, but whatever

What minato uses is teleportation

What sasuke used was a form of hiroshin or whatever how you spell it.

Lee is raw speed

Your trying to put teleportation in the same category as raw speed and hirushin but you cant.
Yes at the end of the day all 3 serve the same purposes and that is the usage of speed but there whole origin is completely different

I agree that in short distances FTG and Shunshin don't make much of a difference.

1.) Minato's is exactly that. He's teleporting around using FTG.

Sasuke's, A's, and naruto's speeds are different. They all just move so fast you don't even see them.

Correction: Sasuke uses Shunshin. Which still isn't exactly teleportation.

Thanks for the info everyone, didn't know that.
I knew Rock Lee was raw speed though, I prefer that over the others.

Rock Lee, Sasuke and even A uses Shunshin no jutsu which means ''fast body movement''.

Think of it as DBZ. They appear invisible, but it only gets faster and faster.

The difference between Minato's speed and Naruto's speed is that Minato's is achieved through a S/T jitsu akin to teleportation. Naruto's on the other hand is pure physical speed achieved by using the 9tails chakara.

And Sasuke's speed can't keep up with the Raikage, we've seen that in his fight vs him at the summit, so it looks fast because it's a manga, but it's actually on a lower level.

The anime & manga can only go so far in demonstrating speed.

In 2 demonstrations you gave, they were standing in one situation, and they moved in the next frame, no matter the distance, yet Sasuke was supposed to be the slowest of the 3.

The manga can't make a person go any faster than moving from one place to a completely different place in just one frame (unless the say "they are moving so fast it appears there are 5 of them or something.")

In the anime, the limit is pushed a bit, but only so much, as you can still only see someone moving amazingly fast or just appearing somewhere else. Most of the time, the anime can't go any faster than moving from one place to another in just one scene.

Look at Goku from DBZ, once he was moving so fast that the viewer themselves couldn't see him moving around.

FTG's league is different...
Others are just similar but Naruto and A use enhancements for their speed and up to some extent sharingan also aid in maintaining high speeds so that's also an external factor... Going by this logic and the actual one. Yes, people like Lee, Guy & Minato had displayed better speed feats than the rest...

ftg is deadly in how fast and consecutively you can attack, imagine minato being able to do what sasuke did to naruto, like 50 times back to back almost instantaneously. Minato is lauded as the fastest for a reason.
