The Totskua Blade isn't his ability

Hinata has accomplished feats in the manga, but keep in mind that she was only in 42 pgs.

Shisui activating the Susanoo was never in the manga. It was only shown in fillers

Good thread, although your 2nd one about Naruto not getting the bijuu chakaras after fighting the bijuus is actually wrong on your part. Naruto got the chakaras of the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 tailed bijuus from his battle with them. Obito only gave Naruto the 1 and 8 tails chakara along with yin Kurama. Notice that Gyuki even said in the scan that you linked to "He knew exactly which bijuus' power you lacked". This statement would imply that Naruto was only missing some of the bijuus' power. Not all of them.

Anyway, let me bring up another misconception:

Alot of people don't seem to realize that Kaguya and her sons pre-date the juubi. Hagoromo and Hamura did not inherit their power from the juubi. They inherited it from Kaguya who had eaten the chakara fruit long before conceiving them.

@-bold: I disagree entirely, Hagoromo’s Rinnegan literally came from the Juubi; as did all of his descendants sharingan. Also the other Otsutsuki (Momo and Kinshiki) didn’t have Six Paths Senjutsu, while Hagoromo and Hamura both had it since they manifested TSB. The Juubi is Kaguya, it came to be only after Kaguya had eaten the fruit. The entire war arc and BZ himself said this.

We know for a fact that Hagoromo knew the Elder Toad Sage, but nothing states that either Hamura or Hagoromo learned Sage Mode from him. And even if they did, it wouldn’t have granted Six Paths Sage Mode, plus it still wouldn’t explain their utilizion of Yin-yang release.

Black Zetsu explained this. The juubi came to be when Kaguya merged with the divine tree in order to fight her sons and take their chakara. This means that the juubi didn't even exist when Kaguya conceived and gave birth to Hagoromo and Hamura. Yet, Hagoromo unlocked both the six paths senjutsu and the rinnegan before he became the juubi's jinchuuriki. Hamura also manifested the six paths senjutsu and the tenseigan without ever being the juubi's jinchuuriki.

In a nutshell, Kaguya ate the chakara fruit first and gained massive power from it. Later, she conceived her sons, who inherited their power from her. Some time later is when she merged with the shinju and became the juubi.

I will post a scan whenever I can. I'm at work right now.

You misunderstood but I’ll lay it out like this:

-You and I agreed that Juubi didn’t exist until Kaguya manifested it with her will.

-While the Juubi entity didn’t exist, it’s chakra and body (the divine tree) did, and its presence in Kaguya is why Hagoromo inherited the sharingan and Rinnegan from the Juubi.

-Kaguya had the third eye in Hagoromo’s flashbacks, which is proof of the Divine Tree’s (dosile Juubi) existence.

-Hagoromo’s descendants would only have the Byakugan if Kaguya hadn’t eaten the fruit, just as Kinshiki and Momoshiki had in their heads. Momoshiki’s Rinnegan are an anomaly that’ll never be explained.

-Hago and Hamura’s manifestation of Six Paths Senjutsu came directly from Kaguya’s Juubi power, which is the power she obtained after eating the fruit. Again, other Otsutsuki never displayed such power nor yin-yang release.

-Like you said, the Juubi (depowered and aggressive form of Divine Tree) didn’t exist until Kaguya willed it to, however Hagoromo and Hamura’s power came from the Divine Tree and Kaguya, which literally is the Juubi.
Post automatically merged:

I intentionally wanted this to be a separate comment so I could emphasize the importance of it all:

-Hagoromo’s entire existence relies on the Juubi’s chakra, which is half of his own chakra.

As Hagoromo said in the third panel, “I’m only able to emerge like this now because their chakra has finally become one.”

You must be registered to see images

Hagoromo’s chakra had to be reconstructed in its entirety for him manifest in the real, physical world. Half Hagoromo’s own chakra (Indra+Ashura) and half Juubi.

I can agree to all that you've stated here. In that case however, it sounds like a lot of us here have been essentially arguing semantics when it comes to this matter. When I say that Hagoromo and Hamura and their descendants inherited their power from Kaguya, I obviously mean a post-chakara fruit Kaguya. You assume that I mean from her natural Otsutsuki genes that she had before consuming the fruit. That's not what I mean.

You saw before that I already acknowledged that Kaguya ate the fruit first and gained the power from that and then had her kids later (who inherited their power because Kaguya ate the fruit before their conception). In other words I have already long since acknowledged that Hagoromo's, Hamura's and their descendants powers come from the divine tree.

On another note, I'm glad that you yourself acknowledge that their power comes from the divine tree and from Kaguya's consumption of the fruit. However, there are certain members here who actually seem to believe that their power comes from the monster juubi rather than the chakara fruit. Look at these examples:

1. I have had debates with certain members where I stated "The Uchiha have their power because Kaguya ate the fruit". Then, certain people disagreed and said it was because Hagoromo was a juubi jinchuuriki. This was in a thread where a bunch of die hard Uchiha fans were trying so hard to undermine Otsutsuki clan for their practice of harvesting chakara fruits and pills, and they refused to acknowledge that the Uchiha were only born with their power because of said practice (since Kaguya ate a fruit).
2. Another time, I stated that Kaguya got the rinnesharingan from eating the fruit. Then this same person incorrectly said, "no she got it from the juubi which already possessed it". In short, there are people here who seem to worship the juubi and who seem to deny the influence of Kaguya's consumption of the chakara fruit.

Anyway,

I think it is bad practice to refer to the divine tree as the juubi. I for one only refer to the fearsome monster as the juubi. The divine tree alone is not the juubi (I don't even refer to it as the juubi in docile form). Look at it like this:

Before Kaguya even came to Earth, the divine tree already existed. It did not have the rinnesharingan. It did not attack and shoot bijuudamas, or anything like that. It wasn't sentient and it just sat there unmoving. It was basically just like a normal tree, with the only difference being the fact that it contained chakara and grew chakara fruit.

If Kaguya had never come to Earth and eaten the fruit, there would be no juubi (monster) and there would be no rinnesharingan, rinnegan, sharingan, etc... . There would just be a lone stagnant tree.

We also see that other planets have shinju too. Yet we don't see a bunch of different juubi (not counting Jigen's juubi which I won't get into right now since it has yet to be explained).

I have to go, but long story short:

Me saying that Hagoromo/Hamura inherited their power from Kaguya = Me saying that they inherited it from the divine tree (because nobody is ever referring to pre-fruit Kaguya).

Not every clan member of their own clan can do their clan's 'secret move' or has the clan's 'secret ability'. Example; Senju Tsunade , Senju clan famous for wood style and healing abilities. Tsunade, while having healing ability, possesses no Wood Style (Also Tobirama).Another exapmle Uzumaki Naruto, Uzumaki clan shown to be able to emit chakra chains from body. In anime and manga, both Uzumaki Karin and Uzumaki Kushina have both been shown to possess the ability to emit chains of chakra from their bodies, but meanwhile Naruto can not. Also not Uchiha clan members can do all visual jutsu or even have visual jutsus. Example is that Uchiha Obito is unable to do Amaterasu and Uchiha Sasuke is unable to perform Tsukuyomi.

Oh I forgot that Obito that saved dying Naruto was Obito that stole JJ Madara senjutsu chakra.

I got another proof to destroy stupid mofo in YT who think that Six Path Senjutsu can be obtain by simply having all tailed beast chakra without combining all the chakra together.

Two information they've missed;

1) Obito with some Rikudou chakra and Yin Kurama saved Naruto by transferring Yin Kurama into Naruto. I believe that Obito also injecting into Naruto some of the stolen chakra.

2)Hagoromo's power up

Without these two involvement Naruto would never obtain Complete Six Path Senjutsu chakra on his own. Unless Naruto becoming JJ.

They forgot that ghost Hagoromo got TSB and can fly even without juubi power. While Naruto lost everything.

They think just because there's no marking around Naruto's eyes means Naruto still have Rikudou Senjutsu chakra like Hagoromo.

I think Six Path chakra was the reason for the disappearance of those markings

Current Naruto only got Six Path chakra+Toad Natural energy and not Rikudou Senjutsu chakra on the level of Hagoromo.

I completely agree with you. The God tree inside Hagoromo's flashback certainly looks different than LOTR tower styled God tree.

I agree and I see where you’re coming from, especially in regards to those “Die hard Uchiha” fans.
Btw Yesterday I added a portion to the end of my previous response. Check it out and let me know what you think.

In regards to the “Divine Tree being just a regular tree”, that is debatable. As yourself have acknowledged that we’ve seen Shinju (Divine trees) on other planets and they are portrayed as towering, Rinnegan-bearing, stems. I elaborated more in my response to Anasuken below, check it out.

I completely agree with you. The God tree inside Hagoromo's flashback certainly looks different than LOTR tower styled God tree.
While that is true, it’s not necessarily consistent. We see another Divine Tree in both versions of Boruto (movie and manga), on Momoshiki’s world which were originally drawn by Kishimofo. Then we saw another Divine Tree in chapter 39 of Boruto drawn by Ikemofo. One portrayal clearly trumps the other in terms of consistency.

In chapter 646 (which is also titled ‘Divine Tree’) Refer to Gyuki’s words upon seeing the towering Shinju

The confliction to this is in Madara’s telling of the tale in the same chapter, the tree is a normal tree.

I meant the Shinju that Hagoromo saw was the Shinju in its original state before Kaguya merged with it. It looked just like a normal tree. And I don't think he lied. And as for Gyuki he just merely telling Bee "that's how the real form of juubi looks like". Its a tree. No matter how its look.

pre merged Shinju is looking like a normal tree while post merged Shinju is looking like a prehistoric tree with Sharingan flower on the top. Doesn't Hagoromo told Naruto after consuming the fruit Kaguya get Sharingan eye?

Even the tree drawing on the stone tablet shows your typical looking tree.

I don't want to think about other Shinju because starting beyond Naruto story the writing becoming convoluted

I know what you meant when you referred to Hagoromo’s flashback and I said that was true. At the same time I proved that it also wasn’t consistent. The stone tablet you’re referring to is what I said “the confliction to this is of Madara’s telling of the tale...”

Gyuki said THE divine tree, not a tree. It’s the original form of the tree itself..

Anyway, the Shinju on the other planets weren’t merged with anyone and seemingly only one other Juubi existed in the universe. Point is whether you acknowledge Boruto‘s Shinju or not, it all started with Kishimofo behind the wheel. Again, the Rinnegan giant stem is the true divine tree.

If Momoshiki's Shinju also is the same true Divine tree can it projects Mugen Tsukuyomi illusion?
Post automatically merged:

And why you called it Rinnegan tree when its actually 9 tomoe Sharingan?

I’m sure they all can if they gather enough chakra.

Sasuke called the Juubi’s eye a Rinnegan multiple times, while Hagoromo only called it a Sharingan once. I’m going with that which most consistent.

First point need a proof and not an assumption.

Second point, consistency doesn't matter here, it doesn't matter how many times the said character said it but credential and status level is.

Hagoromo got Rinnegan much longer than Sasuke. Is a father of Uchiha clan founder, Indra. He never called his mother's third eye a Rinnegan eventhough he himself have Rinnegan eye for a long time. Eventhough he saw an identical pattern in the eye. He never called the third eye Byakugan eye just because his mother got Byakugan. He never called Shinju a Rinnegan tree or Byakugan tree.

And who's Sasuke here? He just a random new generation Uchiha.

Did you just say Sasuke's words hold more credential than Hagoromo's words? Do you take context into consideration?

Do you think random no knowledge people is more qualified than an expert or quantum physics scientist in providing an explanation of quantum physics?

There’s no proof to be given because you asked a ridiculous question that bore no relevance to the topic at hand. There’s nothing in the manga that defends nor defies my answer, so frankly it doesn’t matter to me anyway.

Secondly, consistency does matter. One person that’s never going to be seen again called it a sharingan, Sasuke called it a Rinnegan in both Naruto and Boruto. It’s not even debatable.

That’s well and all (and believe me, I used to share that mindset) but look at the facts:
-Sasuke is still relevant
-The Otsutsuki world in Boruto displayed both Kaguya’s and Momoshiki’s hieroglyphs showed her and Momoshiki with Rinnegan.

I don’t care for Sasuke personally but he’s conveying the distinctions between the doujutsus, so he’s more credible than Hagoromo.

Sasuke wasn’t a no knowledge rando, he heard the exact same backstory about Hago’s origin that Hagoromo gave Naruto and he still went out of his way to call it a Rinnegan.

Sasuke wasn’t a no knowledge rando, he heard the exact same backstory about Hago’s origin that Hagoromo gave Naruto and he still went out of his way to call it a Rinnegan.
I'm not seeing any Rinnegan on Kaguya's forehead in that scan. It's the same Sharingan like in Naruto manga.

So he just went with his own logic and not the fact Hagoromo gave to him. It doesn't make him any right than Hagoromo.

Just like when people have proved you wrong that the earth is not flat but you still insisted that the earth is flat.

Hagoromo already gave him a new information that he never knew before but still he believe his logic is more right. That is similar to flat earth believer. You think he's more right than his teacher? Yes his "teacher" appeared only once but when the student misused or misinterpreted the given information it makes the student wrong and the teacher still the right one.

He conveying the distinction of doujutsu? He's not conveying anything. Please ask Sasuke, Since when Rinnegan can change dimension and cast illusion? Even Momoshiki's Red Rinnegan couldn't cast illusion or changing dimension instantly like 9 tomoes Sharingan.

Ask Sasuke again does 9 Tomoes Sharingan have 6 path power? Can it use CT or human path?

What we can ascertain is that blue Rinnegan and Red Rinnegan are Rinnegan's variation. One got 6 path power while the other can absorb ninjutsu, keep it and release the more powerful one and also turning someone into Red Pill.

None of that can be found on 9 Tomoes Sharingan.

Please ask or tell Sasuke. Did he just forgot what the tomoes on his blue Rinnegan is for? Did he already forgot about his kkg?

Two Sharingan can used S/T jutsu, one is Obito's Sharingan and the other one is 9 Tomoes Sharingan. Even Sasuke's blue Rinnegan took some aspect of Sharingan for S/T jutsu, the Tomoes.

I think I'm better than Sasuke then.

Using ripples pattern to tell the doujutsu is the weakest prove creation method.

-The Rinnegan are on the hieroglyphs in those scans.

-You don’t have to believe Sasuke, and everyone in the fandom will continue to call the Juubi’s eye either a rinnesharingan, Sharingan, and/or Rinnegan. While Sasuke explicitly tells us what it is to eliminate the fandom’s headcanon.

-Purple human Rinnegan (from earth), whether the tomoe are there or not, can cast illusions and dimensional travel. Sasuke couldn’t even dimensional travel as a teen, he had to learn how to do so. Madara and Hagoromo merely hadn’t thought to use their power that way for plot convenience. Same way that Madara didn’t use Susanoo or Wood clones and have them use Limbo while Juubi Jin, it was all for plot convenience.

- The Juubi’s Rinnegan techniques have never been extensively shown. We don’t know if Kaguya absorbed Sasuke’s Amaterasu with Preta Path or if she used Madara’s normal absorption ability. Hopefully We’re going to find out in Boruto, though.

-Six eyes can use S/T techs; Shin Uchiha, Obito, Sasuke’s, Momoshiki’s, Kinshiki’s and Kaguya’s. The tomoe don’t define the eye, the ripples do.
