*My Thoughts* I some ways Sakura is like Kushina. However.......If ur a guy and there's this female with some attributes similar to that of ur Mother....... Is that a reason to believe/assume that u guys should be/must be together?
An interesting concept. Well saidI agree Sakura is like Kushina as well. Personally, I guess it depends on the mother? If the mother you had was viewed in a negative way, and you to reciprocated those feelings back then perhaps you wouldn't want a woman with those traits, but because Naruto loved his mom, then perhaps yeah, he definitly would choose a girl like her. Afterall, that was his mother's dying wish to him
I would choose a man like my dad, but only for the good attributes. I find my dad a hard worker, good driver, logical and family oriented and kind so I personally would want those traits in a man. I also however, would like a guy opposite of me since I am attracted to opposites. I guess growing up, you would expect someone you have to be with for the rest of your life with same or greater traits then the first female/male you see in your life, that being your mother or father. I only speak for myself here but I think it's safe to say people look for the good qualities of their parents in their future spouse :3
Why does one assume that Minato's comparison of Sakura to Kushina justifies a Naru/Saku relationship?
I understand what you're saying and also share a similar view.It foreshadows that Naruto would chose her because Kushina recommended it, yet it doesn't really mean anything because Naruto already HAS chosen her, a dozen times over and over again, Sakura simply doesn't reciprocate even if she tried to pretend she reciprocates in the infamous dialogue at the Land of Iron in order to try to "save" Naruto.
This is kinda parallel to Naruto and Hinata: them holding hand in the middle of one of their hardest moments, and the moment being depicted in the manga cover, seems to imply that they will get together. But this "subtle hint" doesn't address the main problem in a Naruto-Hinata relationship, which is that no matter how much Naruto aknowledges her, admires her and loves her, he still isn't interested in her romantically.
If you wish, we could keep the comparison to a very small degree about Sakura and Sasuke. Sasuke is genuinely moved by Sakura's care for him and wish to make him happy, and thanks her heartfeltedly, but still his revenge quest is more important, he abandons her and severs all ties with her in just the same conversation.
Basically, not much happened in terms of pairings pretty much since the start of the series, Kishi just makes everything progress slowly and keeps throwing hints at both fanbases, which is quite a smart move for a narrator.
Indeed! I think it's just wishful thinking on the part of the various 'couple' fanbases. Why do people assume that naruto holding hinata's hand justifies naruhina?
The plot thickens....
