Many, or should I say most, say and believe Madara was defeated by Black Zetsu, but the way I interpreted it was that he was defeated by Kaguya by drawing she and the Shinju into his body. Black Zetsu I believe was like the final ingredient: A large piece of Kaguya's body, as was shown when black Zetsu engulfed Madara and formed into her. In other words, though I believe the speed of the double Kamui and black zetsu's control over the land played a large part in restraining Madara, if he hadn't drawn in Kaguya, Black Zetsu would not have been able to restrain or stop him. So in conclusion and the literal sense, it was neither Black Zetsu nor even Kaguya, but Madara and his ignorance that defeated himself.

Agreed with this

Pretty much. He slowly became more unstable and arrogant as soon as he absorbed the Juubi..

"Rikudo's tools? Who cares" was just the beginning.

Kishi couldn't think of a logical way to defeat Madara, so he went with a very illogical way.

Shouldn't these threads be titled "Theory" rather than "Misconception"? :|

Taking in mind that BZ is Kaguya's will, I agree with the logic in this thread.

But also, it's important to note that Kaguya might have been possessed by the Shinju, so I don't know if we can call BZ "Kaguya's will" per se, or the "Shinju's Will".
