If Kishi does take that route, the manga just got SO much better. Once Obito is stopped and the Juubi or Shinju is on the loose again, Orochimaru is making his move. Like you said, everything is in place to do this... Hell, he could take out Madara and Hashirama with Kabuto's venom!

Honestly, I just don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't happen. It could potentially ruin the end of the manga for me. And i've been following this thing for yeeaaaaaars. If it does though, holy sh*t- i'll flip. I was kinda underexaggerating how happy and excited i'd be in that last post. Make that fistbump into a huge f*cking loud obnoxious fan demolition and we'll be better.

It could make Naruto the No.1 manga ever. Ever watched Soul Eater? There's a female villain in it called Medusa who is almost exactly like Orochimaru, even down to the snake imagery. Basically her plan is to sit back and let her 2 enemy factions go to war against each other and then intervene at the end when both sides are weak and destroy them both. That is exactly what I want Orochimaru to do, he'd be the perfect person to pull that off. Like I imagine:

-Naruto and Sasuke go in for the final hit against Obito
-Alliance cheering and epic dramatic finale
-Naruto says final finishing line of the battle
and then suddenly. Black page.
Hashirama blocks the way of the hit.
Orochimaru: "tsk tsk tsk, can't be having 'that'
-Orochimaru becomes the final villain

I was one of those people who.. Thought Orochimaru survived the Totsuka blade via small snakes.... So yeah. I've been proposing Orochimaru's return as final villain for a while... I'll be disappointed if he's not final villain!

And, it could? I wouldn't go that far. TOO many lost opportunieis in the war arc crippled this series. Yeah, Medusa is my favorite from Soul Eater actually. I was disappointed with the manga's ending and how Crona basically killed Medusa when she hugged him... THAT is a bad ending...

XD. Im banking on Orochimaru utilizing the venom and Edo Kages to halt or distract everyone as he takes the fruit for himself. I know he'd end up facing the gruesome death of being drained, by the end of the manga. But honestly... That's how I'd want him to go... It'd be epic and memorable.

Me too, still- I can't blame Kishi if he doesn't want to go that route, even though it's the best possible twist for the series.

Never really cared for the manga, i'm one of those people that actually enjoy the anime's ending. Even Medusa had an awesome 'death' in the anime.

Naruto started running to battlefield around NIGHT, only to be confronted by the Raikage. He arrived to battlefield that MORNING. Is it now NIGHT in current time of Naruto.

Sasuke came into battlefield pretty close to sundown. So he's been almost half of a day.

What part of this post has anything do with a Naruto vs Sasuke fan war?
