There are some who believe that Kage Bunshin no Jutsu will necessarily lower Naruto's strength, but that's not right.

First of all, Kage Bunshin no Jutsu creates clones that have the same fraction of chakra with each other.

When performing jutsus, specific amount of chakra is needed to perform different jutsu.

Neji couldn't determine the real Naruto. The chakra was evenly divided.​

Ebisu was giving exaggerated examples of different jutsu requiring different specific amount of chakra, during Naruto's lesson of chakra control.​

Let's say Naruto makes 4 Kage Bunshins. We now have 5 Narutos with 20% of chakra each. One of them performs a Bijuudama Rasenshuriken that takes, let's say, 1% of his chakra. The clone that did the Bijuudama RS now has 19% of chakra remaining.

See what I'm trying to show here?

Every jutsu has their specific amount of chakra needed to perform it. As long as a clone has enough chakra to perform a jutsu, it will be the same jutsu with the same power with a jutsu that's perform with a 100%-chakra Naruto.

Naruto with 50% of his original chakra withstood Kaguya on his own.​

Dividing chakra through clones is also the same as depleting your chakra on your own without clones. As long as you still have enough chakra, you still can perform jutsus and fight with the same strength.

Kage Bunshins can be used to increase power instead of lowering it, as we can see for example, when Naruto was fighting Kurama in the first image above.

Yea I believe I agree, shadow clones don't lower the power of a jutsu. Although the clone can't use as many of the jutsu as the original because of chakra constraints.

The way it works is like this - Kage Bunshins take whatever designated portion of the original's power. But the technique has two drawbacks, the clones are weaker and consume the original's power constantly.

not necessarily he could have been referring to the fact that they were split in the first place. he may have only put it like that because at the time the real single body wasnt even an option for use. also interdimensional jumping when its not your may just use up a shit load of chakra. it probably just takes a little more than half naruto's chakra because i doubt sakura's chakra is anywhere near half of naruto's. but then again she's constantly storing chakra so god know how much she has. but i digress. you see my point though. he never explicitly stated that the real body has more chakra. that spits in the face of years of info kishi has put downabout shadow clones.

That only putting the clones below the original still. And it doesn't say how much it drains you, and for naruto's reserves, its as if it doesn't do anything
