Misconception about kamui

People seem to think that kamui can "one shot" anyone if it hits. All kamui does is send the person/object to another dimension.

As you see it does not kill, it only transports. Kamui is listed under space-time ninjutsu which means that any other space-time ninjutsu or even maybe a summon jutsu should be able to return what/who ever was teleported.

this leads me to think that obito and even kakashi are not as strong as everyone credits them. There are many shinobi with intelligence levels high enough to recognize and easily counter this. Not saying that they are not strong but Kamui is not invincible.

That's true! However, they do have the ability to wrap specific parts of their body, which is some cases could be vital parts of the human body, such as the head.

Even if Kakashi or obito were to wrap someone in to the other dimension, they wouldn't be able to return without having Kumai, meaning that they would be stuck there unable to fight.

It's not as if all space-time ninjutsu are linked, only Kakashi's and Obito's, he sends them into his own pocket dimension that cannot be escaped from-even with FTG

Minato has no information about who Tobi was, or what his technique was. It's only natural that you wouldn't let your opponent suck you in.

Obito has the ability to put people in genjutsu in his dimension and Kakashi can warp body parts. Obito wouldn't have attempted to teleport Minato if he knew Minato could escape his dimension. He wouldn't have attempted to warp Naruto either. I highly doubt Naruto or Minato could summon anything there given that it's another dimension. The sheer fact that Obito even attempted speaks multitudes and perhaps shatters your theory.

There could be more to it that what we've seen, maybe that you are only able to leave with Kumai, and there is a seal that stops you from leaving, although i can only speculate on what i've seen.

Obito can warp parts of his body for 5 mins at a time to prevent damage
Kakashi can warp body parts and if not for obito, could break gedo mazou's neck
