Having haki for ten years doesn't mean you have better haki than another character. Look at Vergo, he probably began training in it when he became Vice Admiral (partly down to a theory of mine so can't really use as evidence...)

Well the problem with that is Luffy and Doflamingo aren't fighting one another from different islands, when it comes to short distances Luffys Gear Second has shown greater feats.
Separate note, i'm sure Rayleigh and Luffy didn't just spend a year and a half training in haki, due to his experience Rayleigh clearly will gave given Luffy some tips and tricks for combat from his own experience (which is greater than Doflamingos) we have already seen evidence of that back in Punk Hazard.



Well Rayleigh has been across the whole New World...Marco and Shanks..haven't?
So it's fair to say he has way more experience than any alive character today when it comes to the New World and it's antics.

I know, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything for Luffy. That still Ray's experience, so it stays with Ray, it's not like being trained by Ray means Luffy will automatically gain his experience boost. Yeah, Luffy now has the experience of being around someone who has fought and lived in the New World, but that's still just being around one man in a world where the variations in fighting and people are in the hundreds. The only thing that can make up for Doffy's experience is an attribute from Luffy directly, not something from someone he hung around with. Buggy hung with Ray too, does that mean Doffy's experience would mean nothing to Buggy in a fight?

I understand that, but battles are very different from exams. Yes, Ray trained Luffy and Ray has experience in the New World. But what I'm trying to get across is, it's not like this experience is now in Luffy. That's why it's called experience, unless Luffy has actually experienced the New World himself, then it won't really matter that he hung with Ray.

Ray can tell Luffy about his experience, he can give Luffy tips, but this doesn't mean that Luffy will be able to fight against Doffy's strings like Ray can. What I'm saying is, experience isn't something that can be acquired or made up for indirectly, it has to be something you go through for yourself. Until Luffy experiences the New World more, then there's nothing he has on people who already have in the experience department pertaining to the New World.

So he has been training his Haki for 10+ years.... That is > luffy 2 years...
Speed how is luffy faster then doffy ?? Doffy was able to travel between islands in little time ? Hell he was able to travel from one island to the other play with a few marines and then go back getting there b4 law and luffy ... All in one day ?

That's traveling speed that's not reaction speed. Luffy is way faster in a battle in gear 2 than Doffy. Also, I'm pretty sure Marco never made it to the end of the Grandline or Raftel because no one's gotten the One Piece yet. Shanks made it with Roger but it's never been said that I remember that he made it back a second time.

Maybe it was wrong for me to say the experience Rayleigh has taught Luffy and all the training makes up for Doflamingos experience.
And I also understand what you are saying and see where you're coming from.
But look at it this way (in England at least) people have to study to become a teacher. They revise (experience) grab their degree and become a teacher. They then teach from experience. A student uses what has been taught to them in exams, in this case battles. Luffy can still use the information Rayleigh has given him, we already say this in Punk Hazard when he refired that shot from the Yeti Brothers at like twice the power or whatever.
