- Okay Kai is a technique that creates a great surge of chakra that disturbs the disturber chakra flow which causes the fantasy images to disappear and break the Genjutsu.
- Only tailed beasts can get their Jinchurikies out of Genjutsu using Kai.
- Sharingan users can see through Genjutsu.

Actually anyone can use Kai on anyone else as long as they are touching their target.

There are 3 safe ways to break through Genjutsu.

1. Pain: this method works in that pain alters the user's physical and spiritual energies allowing the user to break the opponent's control of your chakra system as the drastic change in the user's physical energy when the experience pain will cause then to break out. You must use the appropriate amount of pain to break out of the rank of Genjutsu that you are in. You can look at the pain to rank relationship in the official Genjutsu thread.

2. Surges of chakra: this method instead focuses on disrupting the spiritual energy in your system to break out of the Genjutsu. You can either do this using Kai in which it counts as a move and can dispel Genjutsu based on the rank of the user, or it can be done by sending a surge of chakra throughout your system like Nagashi. For the latter method, the surge technique can only break out of Genjutsu that is one rank lower. For example, Nagashi being A-rank can only break out of B-rank.

3. Foreign chakra: this is just jinchuu, Sage Mode, EIG, or other things that add different chakra to your system. This will break you out of anything except MS. It's the simplest method but also requires you have access to one of the modes or methods to add foreign chakra.

Tell me how you would recognize and analyze Genjutsu.

Using logic evidences of course, I shall analyze the situation carefully and notice every simple detail on the fighting ground, i shall also keep a good eye on the weather.
The Genjutsu user will put me inside a world of illusion where odd things are going to happen such as seeing dead people and finding myself in a world of glass or snakes or something, but i can just say: " I was in a grassy field or i it was a sunny day but suddenly the enemy used some handseals and i found myself in an odd place surrounded by snakes or fire or something, this might be Genjutsu".

Hrm, somewhat shallow and overly god-modding type method for smaller scale genjutsu but as you learn the techniques you'll notice that it's often small things that help you figure out genjutsu (though obviously not in the case where the terrain is changing). Before we can begin the actual jutsu, you need to do a short training exercise. Genjutsu is all about the user's imagination. I want you to create a battle situation then apply your Genjutsu to the opponent and tell me how your Genjutsu affects the surroundings and his reaction to the Genjutsu, and how you can use what you created to your advantage. Keep it realistic.

Sorry for the late reply Sensei, i had to go inactive for more than a week, real life shizz.
________________________________________________________________

I'm gonna use this technique:

Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

We are in a simple battle area and the foe is Mid range away, i gather some of my spiritual and physical energy, then i send it in the form of a chakra surge that disturbs the target's chakra flow, then i place him under an illusion where he can't see anything but darkness then suddenly he finds himself standing on a huge bright flower the makes everything look pink, then some other flowers appear in the dark area and they brighten the place with their pink light.
Now i add more chakra and once again i disturb the enemy's chakra, now his brain is completely concentrated on the situation making him think that everything happens is real, the huge flower he's standing starts radiating and in no time the flower explodes, the enemy's mind believes everything that happens so the foe thinks that all the explosion injuries were true so the injuries appear on his body.

You more or less just used an existing technique and described how it works. I don't want you to do that but to create a unique situation in which the illusion can be used and can be used to its fullest. Focus on the things outside of the illusion itself. The illusion is only meant to supplement the situation which is basic for all illusions.

Okay i understand, i'm gonna try and use the same jutsu
( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death.

It's night, we start mid range from each other, we are in a grassy field, multiple spices of flowers can be found all over the terrain, it's not a bright night because the moon hasn't complete it's cycle yet and clouds are blocking it's weak light, however even that weak light can somehow reach the flowers and brightens them a little bit, so when i use the technique it'll be difficult for the enemy to know that he's under a Genjutsu because he might think that i'm using some kind of a jutsu that increases the size of the flowers and causes them to explode. The flowers were the brightest thing in the terrain so it'll be normal when they lighten everything after getting bigger (you know where i'm trying to get).

Alright these are the set of questions that you must answer for genjutsu. I want you to explain:

-How the technique is performed. (which is basic for all techniques)
-What senses the genjutsu affects and how it affects them?
-How the genjutsu creates an opening for the attack.
-In what situations would use it, if you would use it at all. Provide reasoning.

Read over these before I post the first two jutsu. We will be going two at a time to start then move at one at a time once we get to the higher ranks.

No, not exactly. That would ultimately mean there is only one Genjutsu. Different Genjutsu do different things, and in that, they produce different openings.

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

This is a basic illusion that affects the way the opponent's sees the terrain. The main sense affected by this technique is sight. You cannot make the opponent feel certain aspects of the terrain such as making the ground rise up around them as that would exceed the capabilities of the technique. Each illusion has a limit to how much it can affect the opponent which is how it creates a certain opening. This technique use is used to manipulate the opponents sight of their surroundings to make it seem like everything around them had changed. Because this is a purely visual technique, an opponent with an eye technique able to see through it or a sensor, can brush it off like its nothing. When this technique is used, because the opponent sees the terrain differently, use it to your advantage to combine it with another attack or move. You can make an earth wall rise up skillfully to hide yourself from your opponents vision. If this is used against you, analyze the changes in terrain to detect whether they are possible or not.

( Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

This technique requires five hand seals and basically makes it seem as if the opponent escaped in a shower of cherry blossoms, and also blocks the opponents vision. This is similar to the first technique in that it manipulates only vision. You actually don't dissolve into cherry blossoms in the actual event of things but your opponents sees the even as if you dissolved. You can use this to momentarily escape your opponents sights so that you can launch a sneak attack at them. The power of this technique makes it so that it is easily able to be broken through various methods, just as the previous technique, but this isn't exactly meant to overpower your opponent. It is meant to confuse your opponent for a slight instant in which they cannot see your actions. In this time you could strategic set-ups that your opponent cannot respond to unless they god mod that you can use in the future.

1)

How the technique is performed:
*I'm ten meters away from the enemy, so just to confuse him i put him under an illusion by gathering a small amount of my chakra, then i send it towards my opponent's body and i merge it with his own chakra ending up disturbing the flow of the chakra in his eyes so i gain the ability to cast an illusion on his eye sight, as i do, i make him think that a wall of flames appeared between us, (the flames aren't hot and someone approached them he'll know that the flames are nothing but illusion, the thing is, it'll be easy to detect Genjutsu after some time, but i can take advantage of the fact that the enemy can't detect the illusion in it's first seconds by going underground and getting behind him, or since i'm not effected by the Genjutsu i gain the ability to see behind the wall of flames while the enemy can't so i can just attack him with a fire jutsu behind the unreal fire wall.*
*While fighting a Kanjutsu master or a Samurai, i cast the Genjutsu on the opponent's eyes making him think that i'm using a Kunai while i'm using a sword, so the enemy i'll try to counter my attacks by blocking a Kunai while he's getting attacked with a sword.*
*I'm mid-range away from my enemy, i cast the illusion of the foe's sight then i throw a Giant shuriken on but i make him believe that i thew a normal shuriken, while in battle, most RPers counter small shuriken with a normal move or by swinging a sword, and we all know that countering a Giant shuriken takes more than that, especially if used in combo with another jutsu...*
What senses the Genjutsu affects and how it affects them: Sight only.
How the genjutsu creates an opening for the attack:
By blocking the enemy's field of vision i can attack him behind the flames wall or something like that..
In what situations would use it, if you would use it at all:
This is a useful jutsu, it doesn't require too much chakra and is used properly, it can be used in a fatal combo so using it while fighting against stronger fighters seems quite useful.
I'd also use it to hide myself from enemies after distracting them.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
2)

How the technique is performed:
*I begin gather some of my chakra then i use it to disturb the enemy's eyes chakra flow, as i do, i use my chakra manipulation and manipulate the foe's vision by making them believe that i completely disappeared by turning my body into a shower of cherry blossoms that fly away with the wind, which blocks their vision inside the Genjutsu, and outside it, so i take advantage of that by using a stronger technique to finish the opponent, or i can just run away to prepare for the nest jutsu.*
What senses the Genjutsu affects and how it affects them: Vision and sight.
How the genjutsu creates an opening for the attack:
While blocking the enemy's vision i can attack him with a fatal move.
In what situations would use it, if you would use it at all:
I'd use it to run away from a strong attack performed by a strong shinobi because sometimes, some jutsus can't countered with normal moves, so escaping by trapping the enemy in a Genjutsu seems wiser.

Your second explanation seems lacking. Though you can make it so your disappear, the technique itself does not provide a means with which you can avoid a technique. Say your opponent throws simple kunai at you, and you disappear. That is all fine, but if you stay in that same position, the kunai will stab you invisible or not. And this thought can be expanded to include large jutsu that can't simple by countered by using this genjutsu, can this genjutsu can give you an edge in expanding the ways you can then escape through other means and expanding what you can do after escaping.

( Genjutsu: Kasumi ) - Illusion Technique: Servant
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

( Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu ) - Mist Servant Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

The following two techniques are similar and different in certain aspect of their uses. I will explain them to you at the same time discussing these similarities and differences but I still want you to look at the techniques separately as you have done for previous techniques. But I would like it if you also added your thoughts on how the techniques relate to each other. Both techniques are same in that they both create illusions that look like clones. The first technique is different in that it requires one hand seals and turn a moving projectile into a clone which is why it needs the hand seal for more precise manipulation of your chakra in the opponent's brain while the second technique creates clones to come out of random places thus not requiring as much attention to detail. The first technique turns the paper bomb kunai into a clone of yourself that approaches toward the opponent, once it gets close the paper bomb explodes and your opponent doesn't expect the clone to be an illusion catching them off guard. The second causes clones to come out of the surroundings. This is made to seem like you gained an advantage in numbers. You opponent will because that they will have to deal with all of your clones at the same time. You simply affect their vision to produce projections of yourself around the opponent to make it seem like clones. while in the first technique you affect their vision to manipulate how they perceive the kunai and changing that into a clone. You can use the first technique to catch your opponent off guard by also making a shadow clone thus they wouldn't be able to tell the difference if they all attack him at the same time. But I want to make sure that you know that it is only short range, so it's uses are very limited. So the easiest way to counter to make your opponent pay for coming so close. Use a technique that can over a mere paper bomb and attack your opponent at the same time. The illusion won't even matter if you don't treat it as an illusion but take the opponent advancing toward you as a reason to attack. The second illusion extends up to mid range, but the clones are all illusions. So the easiest way is to use a large scale technique that can hit all the clones at the same time, so that the illusions can defend themselves. If the technique is used in close range, they use projectiles to determine that one of the clones is an illusion of the clones interactions with its environment to analyze you're in an illusion then break out of it through pain.

Sorry for the late reply sensei, i had some real problems that i needed to solve in real life so i couldn't log in for a long time, even if i could i wouldn't have enough time to reply to training threads.
___________________________________
1)

How the technique is performed:
I begin by gathering a small amount of my chakra then i perform one quick hand seal, as i do i disturb the opponent's eyes chakra flow, then i use a smaller amount of chakra to travel around my body and copy it's shape, i start to concentrate my chakra and in my imagination i use the shape chakra to create an image of myself, just like a clone technique, so since i'm already disturbing the opponent's eyes chakra flow, and as i grab a kunai with a paper bomb attached to the end, i automatically disturb some of the enemy's brain cells, which makes him confuse the kunai and the paper bomb with an image of myself, but since i am using a small amount of chakra and attacking a small amount of brain cells i only sicced at making him confuse a single kunai with an image of myself, which is the kunai that i'm touching with my hands (That's why people with huge visual powers can never be effected with such technique).
So as i throw the kunai the enemy automatically confuse it with an image of myself, and logically the enemy shall think that i made a clone.
What senses the Genjutsu affects and how it affects them:
Vision.
How the genjutsu creates an opening for the attack:
I think the Genjutsu itself is an attack and countering it under the pressure of combat and the pressure of being in short range is enough to make them get hurt easily, but i would use another attack (fire or lightning attack) to put them under more pressure.
In what situations would use it, if you would use it at all (With reasoning):
Well since this jutsu is made for short range opponents i'd use it as soon as the enemy gets to short range.
____________________________________________________________________________
2)

How the technique is performed:
I start gathering some of my chakra then i make it split in two, the first part (just like in the first technique) copies the shape of my body and i use it to create an image of myself in my imagination, i the other chakra part to manipulate the enemies' sight again by disturbing his ayes chakra flow, then i add more chakra that i use to increase the amount of my illusionary clones, then i spread a very small and thin amount of my chakra all over the place and then i execute the jutsu by connecting the disturbing chakra with the shape chakra and the chakra on the battlefield, by doing so i make the enemy believe that thin battlefield chakra is a huge number of clones that emerge from everything (trees, earth, rocks..), the movements of the illusionary clones are quite slow, but every time they get hit the multiply, and it's quite hard for the enemy to figure out that the clones are an illusion because when they get attacked they act like ink clones.
What senses the Genjutsu affects and how it affects them:
Vision.
How the genjutsu creates an opening for the attack:
While putting the enemy under the pressure of fighting a huge number of enemies that act like freaking zombies, i can get behind them and launch a strong attack, because the illusion can be used as a method to block the enemy's field of vision.
In what situations would use it, if you would use it at all (With reasoning):
I'd use it when i feel like getting away from an enemy that is about to overpower my techniques so before they get the chance to do so i'd use the illusion to launch a fast attack or to get away.
_______________________________________________________
How the techniques relate to each other:
Well you described it all :shy:
Okay both techniques create illusion clones but the first one requires more concentration and makes the enemy co,fuse an object with a clones while the second creates many illusion clones, but both of them can be used in a beautiful battle situation:

*So in a battle while i'm mid range away from my foe, i cast the second Genjutsu and create many illusionary clones, then the enemy gets confused with the huge number so i jump in the middle of the clones and i throw the Kunai with the paper bomb and make the enemy think that one of the clones is running towards him at high speed while in reality he's getting attacked with kunai.*

( Magen: Narakumi ) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

This is a visual based genjutsu but is it a little more complicated than the previous ones. Remember how I said that the region that you input your chakra into the opponent's brain is the region that controls emotions. That fact plays an incredibly important role in genjutsu such as this. This technique requires two hand seals because of this fact in that it requires even more precise manipulation of you chakra in the opponent's brain. The first part of the technique involves using your chakra to manipulate the opponent's vision. You will simply make them see a swirl of leaves that temporarily blocks their vision. You then use your chakra to find and amplify their fear. This is the emotion that you want to bring out with this technique. You will not cause the opponent to fear anything, but instead you will simply use what they already fear against them. By using your chakra to manipulate the opponent's mind and emotions, you can cause the fear to build up to great proportions. You then project the fear using your manipulation of their vision to make them see what they fear after the leaves fade away. By combining the amplification of the fear to some extent with the impact of the opponent being presented with the fear visual you create a short opening in which you shock them. Now to the truth of this technique. It is very weak and thus skilled ninja can easily break out of it. To be honest, there is no real use from this technique perhaps than to interrupt your opponent's move where they simply cut themselves to break out. The jutsu can be easily be perceived as genjutsu because it is unrealistic for someone's fears to just arise out of thin air. If it is used on you, just reason yourself on why its not possible, and cut yourself to break out. Ultimately not a good technique to use. I find only False Surroundings be useful of all the D-ranks.

So should i be aware of what the enemy fears before executing the technique?

How the technique is performed:
I gather a small amount of my spiritual and physical chakra, then i merge is with my enemy's chakra, the chakra flows in his body and when it reaches his eyes i begin executing the jutsu by performing to quick hand seals and concentrating on the chakra to make it disturb the enemy's eyes chakra flow, mean while, even a smaller amount of chakra travels through the enemy 's mind and memories until it finds the thing that makes the enemy tremble of fear, the chakra pulls that thing as it merges with it and brings it to the chakra that disturbs the eyes chakra flow and merges with it.
Meanwhile i gather more chakra to enforce the connection between my mind and the chakra in the enemy's body, then i automatically make the enemy believe that a swirl of leaves of is surrounding him, and suddenly i bring up the memory that contains the thing that makes tremble of fear.
What senses the Genjutsu affects and how it affects them:
Vision.
How the genjutsu creates an opening for the attack:
While the enemy is shaking because he's seeing the thing that he fears the most i get the chance to attack him with another technique.
In what situations would use it, if you would use it at all (With reasoning):
A useless technique like this might be useful to buy some seconds to escape from a strong attack of a short range enemy.

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

A basic illusion that affects the opponent's basic sense of vision and affects slightly with the coordination of the opponent's body. This illusion only works on opponent's that are already moving. Essentially what this technique does it make an opponent who is running directly at you believe that you are still moving straight except they are actually moving around in circles. This is great when an opponent is trying to come at you to attack in short range, because this technique extends all the way up to mid-range, you can just use this technique to make your opponent believe that they are still coming at you except they will feel that they are not getting closer. Though in their mind they see straight, you manipulate their sense of direction that that they begin moving in circles over and over again thus not getting close to you at all. You can use this technique to create an opponent where you opponent does not realize that they have been trapped in the genjutsu until obviously after sometime in which they can see that they are no getting close to you, which will force them to get closer. In that brief time, you can attack them with another jutsu so they are forced to guard immediately after breaking out. If your opponent uses this one you, reason yourself on how you are no making distance, and break out. As displacement of position is the most important aspect of this tech.
