infinity is something a human's mind can't comprehend. We never experienced true infinity.

The same question could be asked, what is the first number or the last number? There is no first or last number, there is simply infinity....but we tend to believe that zero is the beginning while it's only the center of all the never-ending positive and negative numbers.

Even if there is no god, there is still the void.....so how did an endless expanse come to be, and what existed before space?

How can something come from nothing?

Questions like these will never be answered, perhaps only in the afterlife if there is such a thing.

A lot of interesting points were made in this thread. It's obvious who knows what they're talking about and who doesn't. I hate when people say there isn't a God because some people suffer. The Bible teaches a lot about suffering. Even people of faith will suffer in one way or another. People are wicked, God will not help those who reject Him and His Son and the gospel. Those people are condemned to he'll. That is also taught in the Bible. For those who believe in multiple gods, I feel sorry for them. The first commandment clearly states "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." To those who are confused or lost and wanna know more, read the New Testament. It's the book that tells us what is expected of us today. Kudos to Nebula and fiddstx for knowing what's what.

Im a muslim, God has no beginning, for example in the holy books god is almighty, he was always there, no one created him, he exists everywhere, he's the all knowledgeable.

What the Quran says about the creation of mankind.

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ

Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; then We fashioned the drop into a clot, then We fashioned the clot into a little lump, then We fashioned the little lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it another creation. So blessed be Allāh, the Best of Creators!” [23:12-14]

The Quran also does not rule out the idea that the universe is continuing to expand. "The heavens, We have built them with power. And verily, We are expanding it" (51:47).

Some people doesn't understand the absurdity of infinite regression.

It's like asking :
what caused the cause of the cause of the univers?
Let's continue...
what caused the cause of the cause of the cause of the univers?
Let's continue..
what caused the cause of the cause of the cause of the cause of the univers? etc...

I can give an other exemple .

Imagine you are a soldier ready to fire a gun, but before you shoot you have to ask permission for the soldier behind you, but he has to do the same, and it goes on for infinity. Will you ever shoot? No you wouldn’t. This highlights, the absurdity of an infinite regress and this applies to events to. Therefore, there cannot be an infinite history of past events.

So asking continuously "who created god?"or "what is the cause that created the universe ?"it amounts to saying that we have no univers.
