Many of you might have heard of the theory that Tobi is Sasuke from the future. The originator of this theory is the youtuber named "Sawyer7mage." Now as the theory goes, when Naruto and Sasuke have their fight, Naruto will come out the winner but he will refuse to kill Sasuke (like he always has) so instead he will use some "ultimate sealing jutsu" to seal away the part of Sasuke that is evil. This evil part of Sasuke will be so powerful that the only place it can be contained is somewhere in the past. In other words, a space-time sealing jutsu. Then somewhere in the past, Zetsu finds this evil aura and gives it body. That basically summarizes it, but the actual video goes more in depth.
This theory just might be the real deal. Think about it, after Naruto found out that Tobi isn't Madara Uchiha he asked him "who are you?" and Tobi said " I am no one" (or something along those lines) ..but that makes a lot of sense. If abstract nouns (hate, love, peace, etc) took on a physical form they probably wouldn't have a name or a fixed identity. In chapter 545, Naruto had a talk with shikaku and Naruto tells him that Tobi "understands hatred well. He was able to use Nagato and is fueling Sasuke's animosity" and then shikaku replies "He isn't driven by hatred he uses hatred" and in the recent anime episode Konan says that Tobi is "darkness." I'm sure she was speaking figuratively, but my theory is that Tobi is literally the physical embodiment of darkness and evil.
