Could be true, because he was a genius afterall. And that will give him the strength to do damage or kill off opponents. It's just too fishy that his strongest attack cant kill tobi, when there are obviously more physically stronger people than tobi.
That means he wont be able to scratch Tsunade, SM naruto and jiraya, Hashirama, Anyone with susanoo, Gaara's sand, even kimmimaro's bones just because his rasengan is not powerful enough. U_U
I guess he has something else the manga has not shown, could be sage mode :scorps:

He probably does but it's Incomplete like jiraiya's.
Namikaze's just probably have high chakra reserves, implying it's a clan and not just a family however. No marks wouldn't make sense.
